Guess it depends on what they can prove, what they want to pursue... have they filed any charges against his dumb ass?

So, Talib admittedly drunkenly shot himself, but lied about where it happened. He claimed it was at a park, while it was at a club.

What an idiot.

He doesn't even need to discharge the gun to have committed a felony in Dallas.

If an establishment gets 51% of its proceeds from alcohol, you can't bring a concealed weapon in the establishment AT ALL. It's on a sign at the entrance of every club.

It sounds like he knew it was illegal to be in the club with a gun, but he did it anyway. And then he shot himself after getting into a fight.

Other than knowing that he should lie about it later there's pretty much nothing about that scenario that speaks well of his judgment.

Setting aside the anti-Broncos stuff, it's kind of a sad situation overall. This is a guy who's got a unique skillset worth millions of dollars a year, and whose tax dollars and spending benefit society, and now he may end up becoming a burden on society. Given that he was once providing cover fire to his mother in a gunfight, I'm going to assume that he didn't grow up with anybody teaching him the skills necessary to function in society. What could have been a great Horatio Alger story is now just another tragedy of lost opportunity.

...and he won't get suspended. But a guy hitting a light post (given a suspension that that matched no prior example) cost KC the division and superbowl last year.

I'm a KU fan and I wanted no part of him coming I the NFL. He won a shitton of games for KU but man he's a stupid human. He turned out way better than I thought he would because he got the gambling on routes under control and improved his technique a lot. But damn he's a stupid human.
