Late night bullshit: Which Chiefs team is better?

Poll inspired by Rausch's discussion in zilla's thread on compensatory picks.

Rausch thinks the 2013 Chiefs team was better at this point in their season. I argue that his mother smells of elderberries.

About the same IMO.

More difficult schedule so we have come back down to earth as predicted.

QB: Smith in 2013 was executing Andy Reid's superconservative gameplan. This year he is slinging it a lot more, relatively speaking.

RB: 2014 Charles/Davis > 2013's Charles

WR: 2014 Bowe + nobodies < 2013 Bowe, Avery, and McCluster

OL: a wash

DL: Bailey/Poe/Vickerson > DeVito/Poe/Jackson

LB: 2013 wins simply because both starting ILBs went down with injury in 2014. 2014 has better passrushing depth

CB: Flowers/Smith/Dunta Robinson = Smith/Cooper-Fleming/Owens/Gaines

S: wash. 2013 had Berry, but 2013 also had Lewis.

Allen is a dumpster fire and Fisher struggled massively last year.

This year's team.
Still trying to find out what in the hell happened against Tennessee, but I suppose that clunker is offset by us somehow winning in San Diego.

I don't feel like the Chiefs are going to shit the bed as much this year, compared to last year. Less screwing pooches, more laying pipe.

...well, you're done for.

this team is massively better. the players arent really any better on paper, actually they're worse but they are getting it done. The secondary is MUCH better. teams already know kcs weakness from the second half of last season yet here we are, the chiefs secondary has given up the least amount of receving yards in the entire nfl despite playing manning, rivers, brady, and kaep.

Our offense was historically bad for the first 9 games last season. we BARELY won games last season against a lot of 2nd rate qbs, despite winning the turnover battle by A LOT, and scoring a special teams touch down in what seemed like nearly every game, or atleast starting at the 50. the offense was flat out awful last season, despite having a much better o line. The chiefs this season, have been competitive despite not winning the turn overs, and not getting any contributions from ST's, while playing first rate QBs. If we can start forcing a few turnovers, and/or can start getting contributions from ST's we could beat any team in the nfl as badly as we beat the patriots. those are big ifs, although i do expect it to happen atleast another time or two this season.

Sutton has been much better this season, i think last season he pretty much blitzed 5-7 guys EVERY 3rd down. and he refused to bench guys who were playing awful, like cooper in the second half, kendrick, dunta, demps at times, etc.

This team is much better.

Less Marcus Cooper. Less Kendrick Lewis.

No way they beat New England last year.

Plus the 2013 draft class is playing good football.

We've played and beaten more quality opponents this year. Don't know if we make the playoffs, but I feel we're headed in the right direction.
