****OFFICIAL Chiefs Injury Update Thread****

We're getting to a crucial part of the season, and right now it feels like the most important thing to keep track of is the health of a handful of key guys. When Maclin comes back he'll be able to attract enough attention to make Kelce and Hill even more effective, and when Ford comes back, well, the pass rush could become literally unstoppable. Then there's Poe's nagging back spasms, Howard's hip, and Alex Smith's severe allergic reaction to throwing the ball downfield.

Starting this thread to have a centralized place for updates, speculation, and wbf's! Have fun, folks!!!

CURRENT UPDATES:

Justin Houston is PRACTICING today, and Andy Reid thinks he'll be ready to go on Sunday!

Phillip Gaines is OUT for Sunday... whatever!

STAY TUNED FOR OFFICIAL DESIGNATIONS!!!

The Chiefs biggest challenge will the Pats imo (again assuming everyone is healthy, clicking on all cylinders and Alex at least is playing above average for him). Belichik vs. Reid is like us spotting them 4-5 points. Jason Garret not so much. Pete Carrol gets 3 points maybe.

I get that everyone's afraid of such a dynamic offense, but their losses have come to the Eagles, Chargers, Bucs, and Seahawks. It's not like they're some unbeatable juggernaut.

If our offense can get even a tiny bit of a rhythm going (which is, granted, a big "if"), we should be able to hold our own.

Yeah it can almost always be worse. SDs injuries the past two years have been incredible, and almost all have been season ending.

Cheefs will probably have to as well?

Potentially. I would like to think we have a better defense, especially in game results. Yards can be deceiving. 80 yards for example Sunday came on one play where the defense was forced to be aggressive with 3 minutes left and losing. Plus ot yards which normally don't go on a teams four quarter output.

Well, we just put 30 on the road against the "best defense in football" so shouldn't be an issue

these trends will go up down, and all around basically all season - there's no reason to put any solace into those sort trends. It's a league of parody. Everybody thinks Falcons will stomp us, both teams are coming off of big wins, whether emotional or big in scoring-margin. It may be our week to tax that ass like the government.
