I still think the NFL should just build their own stadium and theme park. They could hold the SB there as well as the combine and NFL draft.

The only problem with Raiders coming to Vegas is all the pundits, experts and people who have never stepped foot off the strip telling us residents how we cant support a team.

No one has any idea how this city is going to respond, except those of us living in the city. The actual day tod ay city. Not Caesars Palace.

Transient? Not quite as much as you think. In fact, over my 19 years here, I find more and more people who are from here. I also find more and more people who use to live here, moved bc they hated it, and then moved back bc they missed it.

I love the argument against a pro team is wee couldn't support the XFL or Arena Football. Well, I love football but no Fn way would I support an arena team, no matter where I live. ANd IM not so sure IM the only NFL fan in the country who feels that way.

This city has a bond with its residents, we support UNLV and we are buzzing over the NHL, and now the people of Sin City, are thoroughly excited about the Raiders.

I, as a Chiefs fan, am stoked I get to see my team once a year, and probably get to hook up with my CP friends. AS a radio professional who works for the company that is going to have the team, Im excited for us bc this will greatly impact our economy at work. And as a resident, Im happy bc we are going to get Super Bowls, World Cups, major music festivals etc..

Now, there are some resident unhappy bc of the cost of the stadium, but if you wanna be a Big Boy City, ya gotta play like a Big boy.

The Raiders’ upcoming move to Las Vegas is being greeted with open arms — or something — by one enterprising Nevada businessman.

According to Mick Akers of the Las Vegas Sun, Nevada brothel owner Dennis Hof announced plans to open a Raiders-themed establishment called “Pirate’s Booty.”

“I’ve had a license for a seventh brothel near Las Vegas for some time now, but I was waiting for the right time to launch another house of debauchery,” Hof said. “The Raiders coming to Vegas will mean big business for me, so my next sex den will honor the ‘Men in Black’ and their ‘Raider Nation.’”

(In a related note, Hall of Famer and former Raider Warren Sapp is plotting a comeback as we speak.)

The house of ill repute will be 90 miles outside of Las Vegas in Crystal. Hof said Raiders players and staff will get 50 percent off at his establishments, and there will be a VIP section at staffed with “over 20 cheerleader-garbed working girls.”

So now, at least someone other than fans in Oakland will be getting, … oh, never mind.

It's going to be bad for the team. I guess the city can be happy about it if they want to have a team that is essentially playing road games each week, or if you like, will have the least amount of home-field advantage in the league.

And this is to say nothing of an organization with cultural problems now being located in a place where there will be exponentially more distractions.

Does not bode well for any

hoping they will become a respectable team again.

There is a HUGE Raider fan base here. Granted, its not Green Bay or even KC but still, the Raiders have a good foundation of fans here.
But again, lets hear from the people who have never stepped foot off LV Blvd.
Gambling, Whores and Drinking are everywhere BTW. Everywhere. Well except Utah.

Having seen a few interviews with that guy, I can safely announce that he is a genuinely creepy mfer

The remarks being made have nothing to with the loyalty of those in Vegas, but we have examples all across the U.S of this occurring.

Las Vegas is a low population, high tourism, high transplant city.

Cities like L.A, San Diego and Miami are also high tourism, high transplant cities and they suffer from being filled with rival team fans, especially on down years and they have a higher population than Vegas.

On top of that, there's an ADDED excitement for rival fans because it's Vegas. Pretty much every non-raider fan says the same exact thing: "Cool, my team will be playing them in Vegas, im going!".

If NFL attendance can go to hell in places like Los Angles and San Diego, it can absolutely occur in Vegas.

L.A: 3.8 Million.

SD: 1.3 Million.

Median Incomes:

SD: 63,000
LA: 55,000
Vegas: 58,000

Vegas is absolutely in danger of having an awful home field advantage. All the ingredients are there.
