I just ate a very tasty homemade pizza with sauce, 5 cheese blend, cracked black pepper, fleur de sel and slivered almonds.

Antonio's on Main near Westport used to have some damned good pie. Perfectly cheesy and saucy. Good stuff.

Honestly for me pizza is pretty much pizza.I like all the local places and mom and pop shops but there's really never been one kind/brand that blew me away.

Two times in my life I've been blown away by pizza:
1) Marco Polo's in KC (although subsequent trips weren't as impressive) 2) Giordono's in Chicago |

A place in Pensacola called Ozone. It was a pizza with chicken cream cheese cashews ...and some other goodies I can't recall.

Rosati's > the rest, unless you're talking taco pizza then i would go with Minskys.

Pizza is like sex. Even when it's not very good, I still have a boner.

coal brick oven style - Grimaldi's
NY Style - Ray's on Prince Street Sicilian - L&B Spumoni Gardens If anyone visits NY, I wouldn't go to Grimaldi's or Lombardi's for a NY style. They are among the best I've ever had but it's different from the giant, foldable slice. A lot of people will make the coal oven slices a fork and knife job, especially if you are eating at the restaurant. |
