Bungie Destiny

Didnt see this posted anywhere.

Bungie's Destiny Will be Revealed in 5 Days

Mark your calendars for this Sunday, February 17.

by Lucas M. Thomas
February 12, 2013

Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.
And if all that isn't enough to get you hyped, have a first look at the game's just-revealed logo as well:

The cave needed to be nerfed, it was ridiculous, and while I did a fair bit of dark beyond engram farming I don't have a problem with that change either. It's still my go-to spot for fusion rifle and super multi-kill bounties. I think they should increase the drop rate for high level strikes. And what definitely needs to change is legendary engrams. I've turned in 15 to the cryptarch now and still have just two positive results (one a cloak...). That's incredibly frustrating. I've gone from being excited by a drop to dreading turning them in.

Oddly, I ran devil's lair three times this morning and all three times someone in the group (not me of course) got a purple engram off a trash mob. I'd run a lot more strikes if I knew I had a real shot at a legendary engram.

I never did the queen's stuff for ascended materials. That gear is an upgrade on my hunter and titan and I want the sniper rifle and ship, so I'm still doing them. Although I'm only doing them once or twice a day.

Seriously, **** the RNG in this game. I finally get my 23rd mote of light for the exotic engram, and it gives me a ****ing gunslinger helmet. Hunter is the ONE class I don't have at 20, and I plan on making him a bladedancer. It's a really violating feeling to only get the chance at one of those things once every week or so (at the rate I'm able to play) and get something just completely useless.

re cloaks doing anything: Not that I'm aware of, other than look cool (or not). Maybe there's an exotic somewhere that does more.

I think the AR nerf might be live. I bought the exotic (which is great) this morning and it can hardly touch anything with it beyond medium range. Although at medium it's a beast. Haven't tested with shadow price (what I'd been using) to confirm my suspicion but that's my gut feeling. And I'm okay with that. I could one shot anything without shields with shadow price from extreme range and that seemed a bit overkill to me for a weapon with that clip and rate of fire. It was like a 40-odd round full auto version of a scout rifle.

I got the sunsinger chest last week when I was hoping for the voidwalker. Hopefully I'll eventually get both so I can switch when I swap subclasses. I figured I was lucky to even get something I can even use. I expected to get a defender or bladedancer chest, something I'd never use.

Bungie also will be updating strike & heroic bosses chance to drop engrams, or some sort of reward.

I am fine with nerfing the cave if they would have increased the drop chances in harder strikes.

Not doing that is going to piss off a lot of people.

then in the reddit post they talk about the social aspect of the game. There is no damn social aspect. While I enjoy parts of the game, it is not going to keeps people interests long for a supposed mmorpgfps.

Mordor and the new COD is going to siphon a lot of players away. More than normally if they would have fixed some issues.
The master chief collection is going to nuke their fan base. Me included.

But that's the problem. Bungie loyaltist like myself are the majority. Guys who were pissed when Bungie left halo. We are the community that helped then set records at release.

They need to fix what is going on.

Maybe I'm missing your point.. so why exactly are the queens missions useless? Guys with more experience do the higher level raids/strikes, while us casuals that only have a few hours a week can do her mini-strikes to get some gear so we actually stand a chance in the 24+ content. Are you suggesting we shouldn't be allowed to play the higher level stuff because we didn't sit in front of a cave for 8 hours a day shooting?

What's funny is that they're are still players farming the cave. They upped the respawn time from 6 seconds to 40 seconds. Guaranteed people are still going to be there.
