Here's the big question mark for Denver... McManus.
Manning can move the offense, whether or not they score TDs remains to be seen, so it comes down to the kicker @ Arrowhead. McManus in his short career is 13 for 17 kicking FGs ... missed 3 in Denver and 1 in NE. Small body of work, and while he nailed two big FGs in week 1, that was in Denver... not on the road. If it comes down to a clutch 50 yard FG to tie or win it, that's a risky proposition... I mean, they replaced this guy with Connor Barth last year.

KC dismantled them in the first half..in their home opener. Denver put a lot on tape in that game...as it was competitive through out the entire day. Denver's run game should worry you..CJ looked like a stud when Manning was bombing it. He looked barely average in this new offense...and they are supposed to be a run first team now. KC had the benefit of playing against the best all around pass rusher in the NFL....if Wade constantly brings the house like he did against Flacco....KC will exploit the edges like they did against Houston. Ravens best play of the day was when they bounced it outside.. the fact Smith is mobile is a huge advantage over Flacco too.. Last edited by BlackOp; 09-15-2015 at 01:03 PM.. |

Broncos | Peyton Manning's legs not cooperating
Tue, 15 Sep 2015 10:33:52 -0700 Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning's biggest problem in the new offense is his legs and not his arm. Head coach Gary Kubiak's new offensive system doesn't help, either, as it doesn't allow Manning to set his feet regularly Read more: http://www.kffl.com/team/15/nfl/gnew...#ixzz3lprh33SO |

Manning had just 175 yards on 40 attempts...that's a lot of wear on his arm.

Interesting note here:
@FO_ScottKacsmar: Broncos had the worst YAC in Week 1 (2.7 per catch) and Texans hardly had any vs. Chiefs. Again, could be long night for Denver.

It astounds me (sort of). That donkey fans don't acknowledge the obvious. One the Chiefs offense is a lot more diverse than the Ravens. Two the won't be playing at home, they will be on the road.
And more importantly. The Chiefs have Jamaal Charles, and Travis Kelce. Things the Ravens just didn't have......

I like to consider myself a pretty middle of the road guy when it comes to homer vs sky is falling. During the off season I had the Chiefs at 8-8. I can move to 9-7 now since I had vs Houston as a loss. I say all that to make the point that I tend to be pretty conservative in when I pick the Chiefs to win............
I don't think this is a game. 27-16 KC. The baton passing of the AFC West begins now. |

Also, regarding all that exploitation vs Houston... you realize you got 14 points off turnovers that basically had you in the red zone both times, right? Let's not act like the offense totally lit up HOU in a marching them up and down the field kind of way. Texans had more 1st downs, rushing and passing yards than KC... Chiefs' drive summary: 7 plays PUNT (INT) 2 play TD 8 play TD 10 play FG 8 play FG (FUM) 1 play TD 3 play PUNT 1 play (HALF) 3 play PUNT 6 play PUNT 5 play PUNT 7 play PUNT 4 play Missed FG 6 play PUNT 2 play Game Over So, yeah ... good thing your defense gave the offense the ball deep twice. That's 15 possessions, minus 2 ending each half - those don't really count. Leaves 13 drives, with 7 ending in a punt and another a missed FG. KC struck early... good for them. Houston adjusted, while I'm assuming Reid 'went vanilla' on offense and 'played prevent' knowing the win was a foregone conclusion.
