I have found that people that sort of politely freak out on them on their facebook page get fellated and apologies.

This is good to know, if I break up with my girlfriend that there's a ready made source of happiness.

Is a PS3 really even worth sending off for repairs?

Mine was one of the last few that played 1/2/and PS3 games.
That's 20 years of gaming I've got that I still enjoy. It will also be the last backwards compatible system. Ever. And since I have a Mac emulation is pretty much a no-go. The few offerings for joysticks suck and there's even less in the way of emulation. What was a 10 day leave-to-return process is now going on 6 weeks and a day. 7 weeks before I get my machine...

Just curious, do you listen to music on a console that plays 8 tracks, cassettes, and LPs? Not being a wise ass just wondered if you also value music listening in a similar manner.

Well, it's not like the USPS is offering anything better - but I thunk they're trying a lot harder these days. And UPS prolly has the same relative issues too.
Seems like the fail in all of this, and not your fault, was going "on the cheap". That being said, it is frustrating... |

Last time I used UPS an employee opened my package, stole some of the items inside, and re-packaged the rest in a new box.
I couldn't complain, of course, because the package was beer - a violation of UPS terms of service. But still, FedEx has never dicked me over like that. |

That Castaway movie really turned me off of Fedex.
