DayZ
With the DayZ standalone playable alpha release looming, I thought I would check out the mod version of the game. http://dayzdev.tumblr.com/

If you dont know, DayZ is an open world survival zombie game modification based off of the military sim ArmA 2 games. www.dayzmod.com

Basically its hardcore mode survival against zombies and even more dangerous, other players.

I have been watching vids for months and took advantage of a steam sale today to pick up ArmA 2.

Anyone playing DayZ right now? Servers? Thoughts? I have a teamspeak we can use!

Yup, I walked his happy ass from Berezino to the NE airfield. We get there and I go after a Z with my axe. All of a sudden, Snappy Coco is there wailing away as well and catches me in the dome. Lights out, thanks for playing.

New patch has two bad things so far. Now a TEN minute max server change penalty, and i hit a zombie with a splitting axe 20 times and he didnt go down.

hard to kill zombies now with melee weapon. I died trying to take one out with a bat.

They need to fix that, i know they made zombies harder to kill, but this shit is out of hand. No point in trying to kill em just out run them if you dont have a gun.

I am getting pissed off.

Several servers say 24/7 daytime but they go dark. I've not been able to play more than 5 minutes in a server before it goes down. Every time I have spawned once I'm forced to leave a server... I'm naked again.

Not fun tonight. Hope there is another patch coming out quickly after this one.

I think the new patch introduced so new issues. All servers got reset to run on the accelerated day night cycle too so will have to be reset by the server admins to be 24/7 day again.

I hope they issue some hotfixes especially for zombie damage. They truly are undead terrors now. So much so that it detracts from the game.

ordered me a new video card. The one i have cant do shit. it struggles. its just a geforce 770, nothing super special. Then ill order a new processor/mb/ram in about a month or 2. Then maybe upgrade card again and use the one i just got in this computer for a 2nd pc or ill just give it to my nephew and get him into dayZ haha
