Getting rid of Waiters was always going to be a good thing.

But stories suggest that Lebron was the biggest critic of Blatt almost to the point of demanding he be fired. He was literally ignoring Blatt during timeouts. I don't know who was talking shit about him behind his back, but wouldn't be surprised if that was Lebron as well. So I don't think you can pin this all on Waiters. I do believe that Lebron was playing hurt. But it doesn't explain the complete lack of effort or emotion from his teammates. Nobody played defense, complete lack of hustle in transition, nobody on the floor for a loose ball, nobody at all boxing anyone out.

I think Griffin endorsing Blatt was a pretty big move. I also can't help but think that Blatt being a bit of a dick to Love may have actually helped. And clearly Lebron has decided to be more of a leader... again, don't know if Griffin forced his hand or if he's actually buying into Blatt. But his body language has been very different.

I'm not deflecting blame from Presti if that is what your getting at. It's his fault Junior is still in the drivers seat.

This shit they are doing with Roberson overrides all previous head scratchers.

Waiters has been surprisingly good all around so far though I know that could blow up at any moment.

Biggest player issue currently is Reggie Jackson. He doesn't want to be there like Harden but has been public about it unlike James. I'm sure they didn't want to make that move because of the Harden trade but they really need too. He's been the definition of cancer. It's hard to sell a talented player into that role especially when you are starting a pile of shit over him. Although Reggie is a sixth man who thinks he isnt. He's not good enough to be a top flight PG and he's not a shooting guard. He's basically the Jeff Green of guards. Not a starter but a hell of a sixth man who provides a nice spark if he buys into that role. He refuses too and is one of the biggest defensive liabilities in the league.

They are 13-5 with KD and Russ in the lineup still. If they make the playoffs they'll still be a problem.

I don't know your roster well enough. Waiters isn't a bad player. He needs to be put in a situation where he can control the ball and score. He's not a good distributor and he can't shoot spot up. He can only shoot off the dribble.

Cleveland wasn't a good spot for him. Probably just too much bad blood from the brown regime which led to some bad relationships with teammates. And the cavs new offense needs a spot up shooter so waiters was a really bad fit. I don't like the guy, but if he can realize he's best suited as a 6th man, he could be effective.

It seems as if Waiters is a good fit. Because we have no system our best offensive players have always created their own shots with the exception of Ibaka. Where I'm suprised with Waiters has been his defense and ability to create off the dribble so far. He's also been a very efficient scorer the last few games. Whether this continues I don't know, but for Lance Thomas and a protected first I see nothing but upside.

Now if Brooks is smart enough to manage the roster properly is a doubtful. They keep saying they need to get off to better starts but it's because they start a player who shouldn't be playing. It's maddening.

I still don't think Memphis or Golden State want to draw OKC or SA round 1. I can't remember a year where every first round match up in a conference could be up for grabs.

Great win for the Mavs last night over Memphis. It's one thing to stack wins by playing against the weak ass east but they needed to prove they can beat some top teams in the west too.
