Don't bother I PM'd SNR
With the 30th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select, Jarran Reed, defensive tackle, Alabama. The Cardinals bolstered two of their needs with a trade for Chandler Jones and the signing of Evan Mathis. Given their lack of a second round pick which was given to New England in exchange for Jones, trading back makes sense to for better value on other positions of need but there isn't a market. Instead, Keim and Arians will select the transfer senior nose tackle out of Alabama to solidify depth on the defensive front.

Well that leaves one guy, and if it's who I think you're talking about, he's my most underrated edge rusher in the draft.

No. Tambaberry showing up, saying he'll make a pick, then leaving for an hour (including a half hour after the game ended).

For the record, I really like Reed and Ragland, but I just can't bring myself to take a 2 down player in the 1st. I thought about going with both for the Redskins though, because that seems like a pick they'll make. They're hell bent on getting more physical and stout. |

A 2 down player won't win you a SB, but he may do a fair amount to get you there. There are only a few guys out there that can routinely drag their offense out of 3rd and long so a player that's instrumental in setting those up is pretty valuable.

With the 31st pick in the CP Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos select
Robert Nkemdiche, Defensive End, Ole Miss. Nkemdiche is tremendous in collapsing the pocket. He is one of the ten most-talented players in the draft, perhaps the top 5. In a one-gap 3-4 defense he will dominate. Of course, as everyone knows, if he weren't such a knucklehead he would have gone much higher. Denver, however, has a recent history of talented players who have goofed up recently: see Bradley Roby and Shane Ray as first round examples. There was another player at a different position that was considered here, but we just couldn't pass up Hall of Fame potential. Last edited by CleveSteve; 03-17-2016 at 09:32 PM.. |

With the 32nd pick in the CP Mock Draft, the Cleveland Browns select
Josh Doctson, WR, Texas Christian. Cleveland comes back and once again goes wide receiver in nabbing Doctson. For years, the Browns' receiving corp has been one of the worst in the league. It's not even clear if Josh Gordon will be reinstated, or for how long, and even if he is he has only one year remaining on his deal. Doctson is essentially AJ Green minus an inch and a half of height. Tremendous leaping ability, silly catch radius, and deceptive, gliding speed. With Hue Jackson coming to Cleveland, he will utilize the walk-on-turned-All-American in a role similar to Green, working downfield routes and dominating one-on-one jump balls. Having Treadwell on board to draw coverage as the Z receiver will allow Doctson to play off him in the X role where he can excel. Cleveland has turned an area of weakness (maybe their greatest positional weakness) to an obvious strength to usher in Jackson's new offense. Last edited by CleveSteve; 03-17-2016 at 09:38 PM.. Nah; he's moving up boards and is defensible as the best WR left on the board. He might be, he might not be, but it's an argument worth making.
My only thought is that Cam's shown he can win with pretty much nothing at WR but the counter to that is that Carolina isn't exactly full of pressing needs. I'd probably have gone DE but getting Newton a weapon isn't the worst use of a pick here.
