The drop kick didn't go anywhere, its still in the rules. No one does it because you are not rewarded for doing it the hard way. You'd have to make drop kicks worth more points.
edit: Apparently in arena football, drop kick PAT's are worth 2, and drop kick FG's are worth 4. Its still rarely attempted even with the added point.

It's rare that a pitcher botches an intentional walk. It's rare that a kicker misses a PAT. But it once costed the Saints a playoff berth when Carney duffed an XP. It once costed the Cowboys a playoff game on what was practically an XP when Romo botched a hold. Botched snaps have ruined long snapper careers -- none more ceremoniously than Trey Junkin. Once upon a time, Philip Rivers botched a snap on a simple kneel-down attempt. These things almost never happen, but there are huge moments in football history when they did. And we want to take that way so that we can watch 30 seconds more of commercials? Again, any rule that takes plays out of the game not because of fairness, but because of TV time is a stupid, stupid rule. I don't care how "automatic" the extra point has become. It still requires a clean snap, hold, and kick. |

I guess if your lunch is one whole roast pig, you should dress like your lunch is one whole roast pig. Don't know if Belechick's gay-assed flip flops are any better. He's dressed like Jeno Leno took over RuPaul's Drag Race. I notice they placed Rex Ryan a discreet distance away from him.
