why can't they utilize a fake to charles right and then a quick out to DAT on the other side - or even Wilson? I saw Brady use that play against the blitz maybe 2 times and it really worked out - do we just not have the staff to block 'downfield' - was Fasano out on Sun? Did that hurt us more than we thought it would - do you think?

Todd Bowles schemed after the half to shut out Alex by predominately only rushing three guys and dropping the rest into zone, especially on the INT, while still blitzing selectively. It worked. Expect it again this weekend.

The answer is Alex being able to punish the defense of the Faid, Steelers and Bolts with his arm... those teams will try and copy what the Cardinals did in the second half.

I don't know, man. Was that the play where Kelce fumbled?

It looks like a few of those still frames happened after the ball had already been thrown, which explains one DB turning around since the ball was obviously going to Kelce.

I didn't conclude much from those .jpgs

Nope, he spun around to cover DAT on the 7 route. There are plenty of .gif's and A22 pics showing missed reads galore by Alex.

Replay shows the play/route concept develop better.

I think Alex is not decisive enough, quick enough.

Brady is deliberate and it doesn't even matter - because when it happens it's like poof you're toasted. That's my beef with Alex I think. Even more so than the lack of deep passing.

& honestly I'd like to see Smith succeed - I really really like his personality - he's a nice/genuine level-headed guy. If it doesn't work out for him in the NFL I still think he's a hell of a good guy and pretty darned talented. I really do hope for the best for Alex.
