1st round mock 4/7

Assuming no trades. What do you think?

1. TEN-Laremy Tunsil OT Ole Miss-not buying Ramsey to this team. Tunsil is the best non QB in the draft and they need him.
2. CLE-Carson Wentz QB NDSU-Hue isn't a moron. He knows this guy has to be the pick.
3. SD-Jalen Ramsey DB FSU-Weddle replacement and overall badass.
4. DAL-Joey Bosa DE OSU-They need a pass rusher, especially with them being in win now mode. They should draft Goff but Jerruh!
5. JAC-Myles Jack LB UCLA-Big value here. This guy is awesome and their defense looks good on paper. Will it translate?
6. BAL-Ronnie Stanley OT ND-Buckner sounds like a Raven type pick, but they have Jernigan, Williams and Davis who form an elite DL. They don't have a good LT anymore. Gotta protect Flacco.
7. SF-Jared Goff QB Cal-they won't pass on this guy and watch Rodgers part 2 happen.
8. PHI-Paxton Lynch QB Memphis-it's hard to see our old pal Doug passing on a QB like Lynch. It's a great situation for him to sit a year or two and takeover. He fits this WCO very well.
9. TB-DeForrest Buckner DL Oregon-Steal and a big value pick here.
10.NYG-Shaq Lawson DE Clemson-big value here. This is a classic pick for them. Fits them perfectly.
11. CHI-Ezekiel Elliott RB OSU-Fox is a run the ball/play defense type coach just like Marty. Langford is a decent back, but this guy changes everything.
12. NO-Sheldon Rankins DL Louisville-this team desperately needs defense and this guy is a similar prospect to Aaron Donald.
13. MIA-Vernon Hargreaves CB Florida-Big value here and they need help even with Byron Maxwell on board.
14. OAK-Jack Conklin OT MSU-they know they need to protect Carr to have any chance to win the division. This guy is tough and would be a good RT from day 1.
15. LA-Laquon Treadwell WR Ole Miss-they've needed a WR for like 5 years. This guy finally gives them a real threat on the outside.
16. DET-Kevin Dodd DE Clemson-they need to give Ziggy some help with the pass rush and this guys best football is ahead of him.
17. ATL-Leonard Floyd OLB Georgia-worst pass rush in the NFL last year. Time to add the best guy available to fix it.
18. IND-Taylor Decker OT OSU-protect Luck. Period.
19. BUF-Jarran Reed DL Alabama-Rex loves his DL and this guy will help them immediately.
20. NYJ-Reggie Ragland ILB Alabama-David Harris is almost done and they have a hole next to him. Put him behind that DL and he'll be a star from day 1.
21. WAS-Andrew Billings DL Baylor-they desperately need a DL and this guy is an Allen Bailey type prospect.
22. HOU-Corey Coleman WR Baylor-they need to give Brock weapons and this guy is has the speed to stretch the field.
23. MIN-Michael Thomas WR OSU-they have plenty of speed at WR but they need a big physical guy who can get the ball. This guy is the best WR in the draft IMO. He'd be huge for Teddy's development.
24. CIN-Tyler Boyd WR TCU-losing Sanu and Jones leaves the cupboard dry, so getting this guy would be help Dalton.
25. PIT-William Jackson III CB Houston-they've been all over this guy. Literally. He's going to be a Steeler if he's available.
26. SEA-Germain Ifedi OL TAMU-they've got to get an OL for Russell. Dude got killed last year. They've lost 4 of their 5 starting OL from their SB team 2 years ago and this guy can start day one at RT or G.
27. GB-Darron Lee LB OSU-no secret that they need to get an ILB so Matthews can move back to OLB. Big time steal for this team.
28. KC-Eli Apple CB OSU-I will still fight anyone to the death for Vernon Butler, but this pick is about need whether John Dorsey admits it or not. This guy is similar to Sean Smith. He's got size and good footwork but needs technique refinement. We have the coaches to fix that and help him live up to his potential.
29. ARI-Noah Spence OLB Eastern Kentucky-they need to continue adding to the pass rush even with Chandler Jones.
30. CAR-Karl Joseph S WVU-they need some help in the back of the defense. Joseph is a legit top 20 pick and getting him this late (due to injury) is a big steal.
31. DEN-Connor Cook QB MSU-I think this guy fits Kubiak's system well and IMO they will pick him thinking they can fix his holes.

Not bad.

Think I'd prefer Alexander though

While I like his man skills, I think that Dorsey will choose the size/speed candidate every time with a pick thay high. Apple has a higher ceiling IMO and our coaching staff is so good at developing players in the secondary.

That's why I think Apple and Burns are guys Dorsey would rather have.

There are talks that Apple is liked by Tampa Bay over Hargreaves and that he could go as high as the #9 spot. You also have the Dolphins with need at the position at #13.
I wouldn't rule out Oakland at 14, and anyone in the 20's. I have a hard time seeing Apple dropping to #28.

I don't see Lee dropping to 27 either. Too much athleticism. The guy could legitimately play SS in the pros with his speed. A team is going to take him quite early, at least in my opinion, to be a cover linebacker.

Otherwise, I think the mock is very solid in most respects. Jalen Ramsey is that wildcard guy that is going to dictate a large segment of the top 10 in my opinion. He could go anywhere in that group, I just don't know how early. He really wasn't a "good" corner. He's much, much better as a free safety. Will a team take him in the top 5 to play the deep middle? It's rare.

Would rather have Noah Spence . He will make any corner better just by his pass rush skills.
