Would be nice. I still don't feel that Maclin is leaving Philly. I think the only WR of the top 4 FA's that will potentially be on a new team this season is Cobb.

Condon will make sure Maclin sees free agency. And he has a history with KC. And Maclin's history with Reid makes me believe it will be a possibility.

The WR franchise tag is 12.71 mill. There is no way, no how that the Eagles will tag him - and if they do, he should play under the tag. Condon knows this, and it is his job to absolutely ensure that he takes Maclin to Free Agency because that will get multiple bidders involved.

The Eagles have $27M in cap space and no one else to use it on. They could potentially not use it like last year but when the difference is only about $3M more than what the player is looking at in terms of a contract, not sure what makes it such a terrible idea, especially when you can easily cover the cost. Just look at how much Larry Fitzgerald just got and compare his last few years vs Maclin.
The Eagles tagged Vick to stay out of FA before signing him to a big contract. They also did the same with DeSean Jackson. I'm betting they do the same with Maclin. |

Thanks for the input, jd. I just have to agree to disagree, man. My bet is Maclin sees free agency, but time will tell.

I like it but why would Wis sign that contract? Awful low number for that many years. 3 year 10 million would be a lot more realistic.

Reportedly, he was looking for a 3mil/year deal. I went just above that and provided essentially 12 mil in guarantees or 60% of the contract. Additionally, the Chiefs have 3.5+ million in cap space this year to play with if they want to sweeten the pot for him.

Houston is getting tagged. Might as well start incorporating that

Almost 13m If Hudson doesn't want 6-7m then I think they need to let him walk. I'm just saying it wouldn't make any sense to not get a deal done with Houston. |

Houston may sign a deal at some point, but he's getting tagged first
