Autorun.inf problems

Hi guys, i'm back with another minor problem...

i have an encrypted cd with an autorun.inf file but it won't autorun when i put it in the cd/dvd drive.

i've played with the autoplay settings in control panel, even checking the box that says autorun everything, but no go...

any suggestions?

and, no, i won't hit it upside the head with a hammer, but i'm thinking about it...

there's an unlock.exe that unlocks the encryption so i can get access to the files indirectly, but the cd has an autorun.inf that's supposed to autorun and use the browser for access to the files and links on the cd...

i've verified that the autoplay is turned on (checked the registry, group policies and the autoplay diaglog will open if i double-click the dvd drive in "computer"), but it only displays the view files option and not the run autorun or install option that i have chosed in the control panel for software cd's...

i need it to run the autoplay.inf and i can't get it to work for this cd...

it works on other software cd's but not this one...
Sounds like Autoplay is working, but your autorun.inf file isn't isn't unlocking or executing the right command..

That's all AutoPlay.inf is doing for you.
yep, did that and can access the files, even was able to download(?) them to my hdd...

problem is the thing is supposed to run so that i can use links in the list of exhibits file (an html that opens in chrome) that directly to the document and come back to the list as well as links to ssa websites and the like...

all i get is doc not found errors when i try the document links...

Have you tried running the disk as Administrator? This is off by default as a security feature. Does it even give you that option?

Many antivirus solutions block autorun.inf to ensure malicious software isn't installed my default.

Try disabling AV. If you right click your CD/DVD drive, can you select AutoRun?

Well, that helps, but I mean whatever program is supposed to be opening the disk can be set to run as administrator. For instance, if you set VLC player to always open DVDs, then you can set VLC to run as administrator each time it opens (similar to if you right click on the VLC.exe icon and select "run as administrator").
