CleveSteve's Mock

Still working on it... only through round 2 so far. Will update when Round 3 is in.

http://www.cornerblitz.com/2015/Mock...l/Default.aspx

ROUND 1

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
QBp Jameis Winston, Florida State
Jameis Winston is easily the best QB in the class, maybe the only real QB in the class. He also might be one of the top three prospects regardless of position, which makes him a no-brainer for this selection.

2. Chicago Bears (from TEN)
QBm Marcus Mariota, Oregon
*TRADE: CHI #7 and Jay Cutler for TEN #2 and #66* Jay Cutler returns home in a big trade sending Marcus Mariota to Chicago to start the John Fox era. Cutler is two years younger than Rivers and has a better arm. Returning to Tennessee, Cutler gets a fresh start on familiar ground, and Tennessee gets a new quarterback. Cutler's mega-deal only has big guaranteed money the next two seasons, so it's not a great risk for the Titans and they have plenty of cap to absorb the hit.

3. Washington Redskins (from JAX)
5T Leonard Williams, Southern California
*TRADE: WAS #5 and #69 for JAX #3* Washington trades up to solidify their front 3 with Williams, who many believe is the best prospect in the draft. Williams is an ideal candidate for a five-technique defensive end in a 3-4, having already played the position in college.

4. Oakland Raiders
WRf Amari Cooper, Alabama
While the Raiders have plenty of holes on defense, they learned last year that if they have no real threats at wideout, they won't be able to succeed with their new quarterback. Adding Cooper provides a consistent, reliable, and dangerous target to pair with Michael Crabtree, who is on a one-year "show me" deal.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars (from WAS)
RE Dante Fowler Jr., Florida
*TRADE: WAS #5 and #69 for JAX #3* After dropping down a couple spots and scoring an additional third-rounder, the Jaguars score Florida's Fowler. Fowler lined up all over the place in Florida's defense, often running stunts or blitzes from different gaps in order to get to the QB. Look for Gus Bradley to utilize him the same way in Jacksonville.

6. New York Jets
OLB Vic Beasley, Clemson
The Jets add the draft's most explosive pass rusher in Beasley. Todd Bowles has a lot of firepower to get after the QB in his head coaching debut.

7. Tennessee Titans (from CHI)
NT Danny Shelton, Washington
*TRADE: CHI #7 and Jay Cutler for TEN #2 and #66* Tennessee adds a key cog to their 3-4 defense in Shelton, who adds a rare combination of power and endurance to the position. While he has all the physical traits to be a dominant nose tackle, he needs work in his technique against the run. Defensive coordinator Ray Horton puts a premium on rushing the passer, and nobody was more productive from the nose in college than this All-American.

8. Atlanta Falcons
CB Trae Waynes, Michigan State
Atlanta's pass defense was embarrassing last year. Atlanta hopes that adding a prototypical specimen at corner will improve their pass coverage. The division is loaded with big receivers and Waynes has the length and speed to keep up with them.

9. New York Giants
SS Landon Collins, Alabama
The Giants are extremely weak at safety, so Collins is the natural fit here. I'm sure New York would like to get some value in a trade down, but I don't see a partner here.

10. St. Louis Rams
LT La'el Collins, LSU
Tough decision for the Rams here, who can go with any offensive lineman in the draft or a big-play wide receiver. In this scenario, St. Louis takes Collins to man the left side, allowing Saffold to play right tackle.

11. New Orleans Saints (from MIN)
WRf Kevin White, West Virginia
*TRADE: NO #13 and #78 for MIN #11 and #110* New Orleans moves ahead of Cleveland to grab Kevin White, after having nightmares of how Julio Jones has abused them in the past. With Kenny Stills out and Marques Colston getting older, the Saints need to add a big, strong wideout to pair up with Brandin Cooks.

12. Cleveland Browns
WRf DeVante Parker, Louisville
Cleveland didn't expect Parker to fall into their laps at 12, but they select him as the highest ranking player on their board. With offseason additions of Bowe and Hartline to holdovers Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel, Cleveland has turned wideout from an area of weakness to one of strength.

13. Minnesota Vikings (from NO)
RB Todd Gurley, Georgia
*TRADE: NO #13 and #78 for MIN #11 and #110* The Vikings' relationship with the reinstated Adrian Peterson is in disrepair. No team knows the value of a dominant running back quite like these Vikes, and they add possibly the best running back prospect since the aforementioned AD.

14. Cleveland Browns (from MIA)
5T Malcom Brown, Texas
*TRADE: CLE #19 and #77 for MIA #14* In Brown, Cleveland gets a player they considered at 12. The Browns were 32nd in the league in rush defense last year, and the Longhorn is one of the premeir run defenders in the draft. Brown was a risk to go to San Fran or Houston with the next two picks, so Cleveland moves up to secure the player they want. Miami is happy to get back the selection they shipped off for Kenny Stills.

15. San Francisco 49ers
CB Marcus Peters, Washington
San Francisco gives a boost to their secondary as they nab the extremely talented Peters. He is easily the most talented corner available and San Francisco needs a lot of help at corner.

16. Houston Texans
5T Arik Armstead, Oregon
Houston nabs Arik Armstead to match up with JJ Watt and Vince Wilfork to create a dynamite front 3. One of the rush linebackers is tempting here, but that might seem like giving up on last year's number one overall pick.

17. San Diego Chargers
OLB Randy Gregory, Nebraska
The Chargers nab Randy Gregory, who has fallen due to the failed drug test at the combine. Melvin Ingram and Jeremiah Attaochu aren't providing the pass rush San Diego would like, and Gregory is too good to pass up at this point.

18. Pittsburgh Steelers (from KC)
OLB Shane Ray, Missouri
*TRADE: PIT #22 and #87 for KC #18 and #193* Jason Worilds retirement has left the Steelers in a lurch. While Pitt hasn't forced James Harrison into retirement yet, he and Arthur Moats are on one-year deals and Jarvis Jones hasn't made the impact they had hoped for. Moving up gets Pitt the player they covet and ensures he doesn't go to another team in the division with the next pick.

19. Miami Dolphins (from BUF)
CB Kevin Johnson, Wake Forest
*TRADE: CLE #19 and #77 for MIA #14* Cortland Finnegan retiring digs a deep hole for the Dolphins at corner. It's clear from Miami's pre-draft visits that they are seriously considering a first-round cornerback, and to many, Johnson is the best available.

20. Philadelphia Eagles
OG Jake Fisher, Oregon
Philadelphia let Todd Herremans go this offseason, despite him performing well at guard. Chip Kelly puts a premium on athleticism for his offensive linemen, and has shown no hesitation in the past to accumulate Oregon players he recruited.

21. Cincinnati Bengals
RE Alvin Dupree, Kentucky
The Bengals add depth to the pass rush as they nab the highly-thought-of Dupree to rotate with Dunlap and Johnson.

22. Kansas City Chiefs (from PIT)
RT Ereck Flowers, Miami (Fla.)

*TRADE: PIT #22 and #87 for KC #18 and #193* The Chiefs have a lot of tackles on their roster, but they don't really have a good one. Flowers is a powerful drive blocker who will start immediately at right tackle and has left tackle upside should Eric Fisher not improve.

23. Detroit Lions
RT Brandon Scherff, Iowa
Detroit has had recent success drafting an Offensive Tackle from Iowa who slid in the draft in part due to non-ideal arm length at the position. They try to strike gold twice, nabbing Scherff, who most expect to go top 10.

24. Arizona Cardinals
CB Byron Jones, Connecticut
Arizona needs a second starting corner on their roster, and they opt for Jones, the physical prototype.

25. Carolina Panthers
LT Andrus Peat, Stanford
The Panthers needed a left tackle going into last year's draft and didn't get one. They breathe a sigh of releif here as the run on offensive linemen continues and the last first-tier left tackle goes off the board.

26. Baltimore Ravens
WRf Breshad Perriman, UCF
Baltimore grabs Torrey Smith's replacement in a player that reminds me very much of his predecessor. Smith is big and fast and a vertical threat and should fit in well with Baltimore's offensive scheme. DGB is a very tempting option here, but I just don't see how they can draft him after dealing with the Ray Rice issue last season.

27. Dallas Cowboys
RB Melvin Gordon, Wisconsin
The Jones' get just the player they need as Gordon falls into their laps at 27. This would be the ideal scenario for the Cowboys.

28. Denver Broncos
RT D.J. Humphries, Florida
Denver selects D.J. Humphries to man the right side of their line. TJ Clemmings was a tempting option here, but he is just not good enough in pass protection right now for this offense.

29. Indianapolis Colts
NT Jordan Phillips, Oklahoma
Indy's defensive needs a lot of help right up the middle, and Phillips can provide that anchor up the middle for to stop the run.

30. Green Bay Packers
TE Maxx Williams, Minnesota
The Packers have been missing that seam tight end ever since Finley's injury occurred. Williams available for them seems a natural fit, as the Packers' offense is predicated on feeding Aaron Rodgers with lots of weapons.

31. New Orleans Saints (from SEA)
OLB Owamagbe Odighizuwa, UCLA
The Saints add their pass rusher in Owa Odighizuwa. A phenomenal athlete and good run stuffer to boot, OO has the potential to become an elite edge defender if he is over his hip injuries.

32. New England Patriots
WRf Nelson Agholor, Southern California
Nelson Agholor is the ideal wideout for the Patriots. He is a good team player, runs precise routes, and has great yards-after-catch ability.

ROUND 2

33. Tennessee Titans
WRf Dorial Green-Beckham, Oklahoma
With several great options available at this point, Tennessee goes for the troubled player who might be the most talented in the entire draft. Jay Cutler has a history of getting great production out of troubled players, so Tennessee opts to swing for the fences.

34. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
LT Cameron Erving, Florida State
Tampa Bay made a mistake letting Donald Penn go last year, and now they need a new left tackle to protect their new QB. Who better to do it than the man who did so most of Winston's collegiate career? Some may interject that they want Erving to be a center in the pros, but he's also the best available blindside blocker.

35. Oakland Raiders
RT T.J. Clemmings, Pittsburgh
Finally, Oakland selects Clemmings, the most powerful run blocker in the draft from either tackle position. Menelik Watson hasn't performed well enough to deserve another year, and Oakland must do something to get their ground game kickstarted.

36. Kansas City Chiefs (from JAX)
WRf Devin Smith, Ohio State

*TRADE: KC #49 and #87 for JAX #36* The Chiefs swap the pick they got from Pittsburgh to move up and grab Devin Smith ahead of a number of teams who are primed to take a wideout. Smith adds a second legitimate receiving threat to Kansas City's offense and is just the kind of receiver that Andy Reid has shown an affinity for in years past.

37. New York Jets
WRp Jaelen Strong, Arizona State
While the Jets may appear set at wideout now that they've added Brandon Marshall, he's a bit of a wildcard now that he's away from Cutler again. Strong is the best offensive player available at this point and probably the best available overall, so adding him is an easy pick for New York.

38. Washington Redskins
OLB Eli Harold, Virginia
The Skins address their pass rush with Eli Harold, a long athletic rusher needed to replace Brian Orakpo in Washington's 3-4.

39. Chicago Bears
WRd Sammie Coates, Auburn
The Bears add a home run threat with Coates. Coates' strength and speed make him a threat to take a slant into the end zone just as easily as a go route.

40. Jacksonville Jaguars (from NYG)
FS Damarious Randall, Arizona State
*TRADE: JAX #49 and #103 for NYG #40* The Jags trade once again to move back up and take Randall ahead of St. Louis. In the meantime, they turned their 4th rounder into another 3rd. Randall is considered by many as the best free safety in the draft and the Jaguars certainly need a lot of help in the back end of their defense.

41. St. Louis Rams
OG Laken Tomlinson, Duke
St. Louis continues the rebuild of their line with the addition of Laken Tomlinson. They have now added two experienced and decorated collegiate linemen to the squad.

42. Atlanta Falcons
RE Preston Smith, Mississippi State
Atlanta could go several directions here, but nabbing the top remaining pass rusher is where they ultimately go. Smith will help re-tool the Falcons' anemic pass rush in their return to a 4-3 after their short-lived time in an odd front.

43. Cleveland Browns
NT Carl Davis, Iowa
The Browns continue to shore up their run defense with the powerful Davis. Phil Taylor is in the last year of his deal and it appears the Browns are willing to let him walk when the season is up. They don't have anyone of consequence behind him, and Davis is too good to pass up here.

44. New Orleans Saints
TE Clive Walford, Miami (Fla.)
New Orleans breathes a sigh of relief as Cleveland passes on the most complete tight end in the draft. After losing Jimmy Graham, the Saints bring in another red zone threat who is a strong blocker, aiding their new commitment to the running game.

45. Minnesota Vikings
MLB Paul Dawson, TCU
Minnesota nabs the playmaking Dawson to round out their linebacking corps with Anthony Barr and Chad Greenway. A poor showing at the combine dropped Dawson out of what might have been a first round selection, based solely on on-the-field production, but Minnesota stops his slide here.

46. San Francisco 49ers
ILB Eric Kendricks, UCLA
Back-to-back inside 'backers as the 49ers look for a replacement they didn't expect to have to make two months ago. The retirements of Willis and Borland pushed San Fran to use a second day pick on a position where they thought they were set.

47. Miami Dolphins
WRp Rashad Greene, Florida State
With Kenny Stills on board to take the top off of the defense and Jarvis Landry to work the slot, the Dolphins need a guy to run all the right routes, get open, and move the chains. Rashad Greene is the perfect candidate for that role in this offense and the 'Phins are lucky to get him here.

48. San Diego Chargers
C Hroniss Grasu, Oregon
Nick Hardwick's retirement was rough on San Diego's line. The Chargers hope adding the athletic Grasu can stablize a unit in flux.

49. New York Giants (from KC)
OG A.J. Cann, South Carolina
*TRADE: KC #49 and #87 for JAX #36* *TRADE: JAX #49 and #103 for NYG #40* The G-Men pick up the athletic Cann to man the left guard spot, pushing Weston Richburg inside to center where he was intended to play. New York hopes to upgrade two positions with one pick in this move.

50. Arizona Cardinals (from BUF)
NT Eddie Goldman, Florida State
*TRADE: AZ #55 and #159 for BUF #50* Arizona, seeing a number of teams in front of them interested in a defensive tackle, moves up to snag Goldman to man the nose. Goldman is someone who many think will go in the first round.

51. Houston Texans
ILB Stephone Anthony, Clemson
The Texans select Stephone Anthony, the high-energy linebacker from Clemson. Anthony can fill gaps, tackle, blitz, and cover. He was a big reason Clemson had the top-ranked defense in the country in 2014 and may end up being the best inside linebacker in the draft.

52. Philadelphia Eagles
WRf Phillip Dorsett, Miami (Fla.)
Chip Kelly selects the speedster from Miami to fill the void left by Jeremy Maclin. Dorsett reminds some of another ex-Eagle, Desean Jackson, due to his speed and quickness. Chip Kelly loves to win with speed, and he adds a lightning-fast pass catcher tailor-made for his offense.

53. Cincinnati Bengals
UT Grady Jarrett, Clemson
Cincinnati continues to bolster the D-Line with the addition of Jarrett, the lightning quick tackle who will initially rotate with Geno Atkins.

54. Detroit Lions
CB Ronald Darby, Florida State
Detroit has tried drafting corners for years, but they are still lacking in quality players at the position. With Green Bay and Chicago in the division, they need to have better talent outside. Rashean Mathis is too old to be considered a difference maker at the position. Here they select Darby, after the corner market hit a dry spell for about a round.

55. Buffalo Bills (from AZ)
5T Xavier Cooper, Washington State
*TRADE: AZ #55 and #159 for BUF #50* Buffalo exercises patience and moves back, gaining another pick after seeing their top target, Carl Davis, already off the board. With their initial selection in the draft, the Rex Ryan-led Bills look to add their own Sheldon Richardson in the quick, slippery talented run defender from the Northwest. In moving to a 3-4, the Bills have Pro Bowler Marcel Dareus and Jarius Wynn at end. Wynn is fine depth, but they need more impact and certainly more depth along the line.

56. Pittsburgh Steelers
CB P.J. Williams, Florida State
Pittsburgh grabs the best-tackling corner in the draft at 56. The Steelers need a lot of help on the perimeter, but have also suffered a major lapse in run defense. This move helps address both areas of concern.

57. Carolina Panthers
RE Danielle Hunter, LSU
Carolina's pass rush needs a boost, and LSU's Danielle Hunter is a terrific athlete at the position. LSU ends tend to not accumulate a lot of sacks because of their contain scheme, but Hunter has the length and athleticism to be a good pass rusher in the NFL.

58. Baltimore Ravens
CB Eric Rowe, Utah
Ozzie Newsome lets the board fall to him and he lands Eric Rowe, the long, fast corner/safety combo player for Utah. Baltimore has issues at both positions, so his selection offers flexibility for the Ravens.

59. Denver Broncos
ILB Benardrick McKinney, Mississippi State
Denver is disappointed to have missed out on the best nose tackle prospects, but boosts their run defense with the addition of McKinney, who runs fast and hits like a Mack Truck.

60. Dallas Cowboys
UT Michael Bennett, Ohio State
Michael Bennett is a quick interior lineman who can add some pass rush from the inside. Dallas needs more disruption on the interior to improve their defense.

61. Indianapolis Colts
FS Quinten Rollins, Miami (Ohio)
Indianapolis drafts Quinten Rollins to play Free Safety for the team. The Colts need more turnovers from the safety position, which was Rollins' specialty in his one season at Miami. There will be an adjustment period for him, as he is still new to football, but he can sit a year and learn from Pops Adams in the meantime.

62. Green Bay Packers
CB Jalen Collins, LSU
Green Bay replenishes the cornerback position with the selection of Collins. With Tramon Williams gone, a new starter is needed, and the pool of startable corners is dwindling.

63. Seattle Seahawks
WLB Shaq Thompson, Washington
Shaq Thompson gets to stay home as the Seahawks snag the playmaking, undersized defender to replace Malcolm Smith. Thompson consistently finds ways to create turnovers, and the Seahawks waste no time on their way to the podium to turn in the card with his name on it.

64. New England Patriots
OG Ali Marpet, Hobart
New England selects Ali Marpet, the small school offensive lineman with a mean streak. New England has some retooling to do on the interior of their line, and Marpet is a good candidate to do it.

ROUND 3

65. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
RE Nate Orchard, Utah
Nate Orchard is a highly productive rush end if physically underwhelming as an athlete. He still has room to improve, though, as he came to Utah as a tight end before moving over to the defensive side of the ball.

66. Chicago Bears (from TEN)
FS Cody Prewitt, Ole Miss
*TRADE: CHI #7 and Jay Cutler for TEN #2 and #66* Chicago adds Prewitt, the playmaking safety from Ole Miss to improve the back end of their defense. Prewitt's apparent draft position has fallen since the end of the college season, but looking strictly at his performance on the field, this spot is about right for him.

67. Jacksonville Jaguars
RB Duke Johnson, Miami (Fla.)
Jacksonville adds The U's all-time leading rusher and all-time leading all-purpose yards gainer. Duke Johnson does just about everything well and plays hard every down. He will help take pressure off of Blake Bortles, who struggled as a rookie. Johnson is a versatile back, is a good blocker and an excellent receiver. Has good agility, burst and vision and is extremely tough, but is not a great tackle breaker.

68. Oakland Raiders
RB Tevin Coleman, Indiana
With no pass rushers worth this selection, Oakland opts for Coleman who has good size and good vision. Coleman maximizes the effectiveness of his blockers and will be following Marcel Reece in Oakland. Coleman blocks well in pass protection and is a reliable safety valve in the passing game. Strong runner with build up speed but not a lot of wiggle.

69. Jacksonville Jaguars (from WAS)
LT Donovan Smith, Penn State
*TRADE: WAS #5 and #69 for JAX #3*Having this pick is a bit of a luxury for Jacksonville, and they opt to use it to provide a backup plan if Luke Joeckel doesn’t improve. The number 2 overall pick's play has not been good so far, and he must be on a short leash by now.

70. New York Jets
RT Cedric Ogbuehi, Texas A&M
After just missing out on their top three targets in the last three picks, New York settles on Ogbuehi. The Aggie has started at left and right tackle at A&M, but will likely be kept away from the blind side in the pros.

71. Chicago Bears
C Andy Gallik, Boston College
Roberto Garza's retirement creates an urgent need at center. In Gallik, Chicago gets a smart and tough blocker. Gallik played his senior season as a grad student at Boston College and should have a quick learning curve entering the league.

72. St. Louis Rams
WRf Tony Lippett, Michigan State
Lippet brings an underrated combination of size, speed, and run-after-catch ability. He will provide a second real outside threat along with the handsomely-paid Kenny Britt.

73. Atlanta Falcons
OG Josue Matias, Florida State
Atlanta selects Matias, a punishing, athletic, experienced blocker to hold down the left guard position. Matias made 43 starts in FSU's pro style offense and should be able to contribute immediately.

74. New York Giants
FS Josh Shaw, Southern California
The Giants tab Shaw to man the free safety position for them. Shaw formerly starred at safety before being converted to corner due to his man skills. While he doesn't have the quickness to be a full-time nickel and his in-game long speed makes him questionable as an outside corner in the NFL, his instincts and size make him a good safety candidate.

75. New Orleans Saints
OG Mitch Morse, Missouri
The Saints select Mitch Morse, who has started at center, right tackle, and left tackle in his collegiate career. He is still undervalued somewhat, likely due to the poor quarterback play at Missouri this year. He opened a lot of eyes at the combine, though, turning in perhaps the best overall performance in workouts and drills among the offensive linemen.

76. Minnesota Vikings
WRp Devin Funchess, Michigan
Funchess provides a red zone target for Bridgewater. A matchup nightmare, Funchess' frame is ideal to counteract Bridgewater's tendency to overthrow the seam route.

77. Miami Dolphins (from CLE)
OG Tre' Jackson, Florida State
*TRADE: CLE #19 and #77 for MIA #14* The run on offensive linemen continues as the Dolphins take the in-state All-American to plug into the right side of their offensive line. Miami has Billy Turner and Dallas Thomas to fight it out for the left guard spot, but with the release of Shelley Smith, the Dolphins are looking at another starting spot up for grabs. They fill it here with Jackson.

78. Minnesota Vikings (from MIA)
SS Jaquiski Tartt, Samford
*TRADE: NO #13 and #78 for MIN #11 and #110* The Vikings come back and add a new running mate for Harrison Smith in the small school prospect who has been a hot name all offseason.

79. San Francisco 49ers
QBm Brett Hundley, UCLA
With a deep roster and a lot of picks, San Francisco can ensure they grab a quarterback they hope can develop in case things go south with Colin Kaepernick. Here they take Hundley, who has a physical skillset very similar to Kaep's.

80. Kansas City Chiefs
ILB Denzel Perryman, Miami (Fla.)

The Chiefs need a new inside linebacker to pair with Derrick Johnson. He doesn’t have the best range and he can get swallowed up by blocks at times, but when he hits someone there's a decent chance the ball is coming out.

81. Buffalo Bills
OG John Miller, Louisville
The Bills select John Miller, the powerful drive blocker from the ACC. Miller is one of the strongest guards in the entire class and plays with a good solid base. He dominated the Shrine Bowl this year and will fill what is arguably the biggest hole in the Bills' starting lineup after quarterback.

82. Houston Texans
OLB Lorenzo Mauldin, Louisville
With Clowney's injury status up in the air, the Texans select Mauldin, the big, physical edge defender from Louisville. Back-to-back Cardinals come off the board as Mauldin will play opposite Whitney Mercilus when Clowney can't go, or kicks inside on 3rd downs.

83. San Diego Chargers
RB Jay Ajayi, Boise State
San Diego selects Jay Ajayi, a big, bruising back with straight line speed. The shifty Branden Oliver will serve as a good compliment to Ajayi's "turn the corner and run" style.

84. Philadelphia Eagles
FS Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, Oregon
The Eagles take another Duck in Ekpre-Olomu. Nobody knows his abilities quite like Chip Kelly. While undersized, IEO has the instincts and awareness to play inside, outside, or safety in the secondary.

85. Cincinnati Bengals
WRs Tyler Lockett, Kansas State
Tyler Lockett boosts Cincinnati's receiving corps, who is loaded with outside threats. Lockett can play inside or outside with great quickness and good speed and toughness.

86. Arizona Cardinals
RB David Johnson, Northern Iowa
The Cardinals need a sturdy, reliable back to pair with Andre Ellington. David Johnson is a big, intimidating presence from the running back position. He has good build-up speed but is not particularly nimble. Looks almost more like a WR/TE hybrid type player and is coincidentally a very productive piece of the passing game when split out into the slot. Could end up an H-back, but shows poor technique as a blocker.

87. Jacksonville Jaguars (from PIT)
CB DJoun Smith, Florida Atlantic
*TRADE: KC #49 and #87 for JAX #36* Jacksonville opts for the ballhawking local boy in D'Joun Smith, who led NCAA cornerbacks in interceptions in 2013.

88. Detroit Lions
OG Arie Kouandjio, Alabama
Rob Sims' contract is expired and the Lions land a new starting left guard in Kouandjio, the big, experienced blocker from Alabama. Arie doesn't come with the same injury concerns as his brother so the Vikings pick him up to help retool the Lions' offensive line.

89. Carolina Panthers
WRp Justin Hardy, East Carolina
Justin Hardy adds a tough, reliable receiver who has terrific catch-in-traffic ability. Hardy is the NCAA's all-time receptions leader and will continue to produce at a high level in the Carolinas.

90. Baltimore Ravens
5T Gabe Wright, Auburn
With Haloti Ngata on to Detroit, Baltimore backfills with the tremendous athlete Wright. The Auburn Tiger has the size to play the position and suprising quickness.

91. Dallas Cowboys
LE Mario Edwards Jr., Florida State
While a backup quarterback is tempting here, the urgency related to defensive end in light of the Greg Hardy situation results in a legacy pick. Mario Edwards, Jr. goes on to play for the same team Sr. did.

92. Denver Broncos
FS Derron Smith, Fresno State
Denver is in such a bad spot at free safety that they just let their starter walk. Here they select Smith to take his place.

93. Indianapolis Colts
CB Steven Nelson, Oregon State
Indy takes Steven Nelson to imrpove the depth of their secondary. They have very little behind their excellent starters Davis and Toler. Nelson is able to play inside or out, and that flexibility will help protect against injury.

94. Green Bay Packers
NT Rakeem Nunez-Roches, Southern Mississippi
B. J. Raji seemed on his way out in Green Bay, and Letroy Guion had a big party this offseason, so the Pack need to boost their depth at the nose. They select Rakeem Nunez-Roches, who made a name for himself playing a good game against Alabama this year for Southern Miss.

95. Seattle Seahawks
OG Ty Sambrailo, Colorado State
The Seahawks take Sambralio to compete for the spot vacated by James Carpenter's departure.

96. New England Patriots
CB Doran Grant, Ohio State
Revis and Browner are gone. Time to reload the secondary. Grant adds man cover skills to New England's depth chart.

97 (Compensatory). New England Patriots
OG Mark Glowinski, West Virginia
The Pats double up on interior linemen with Glowinski. Glowinski is another tough guard that plays angry.

98 (Compensatory). Kansas City Chiefs
5T Marcus Hardison, Arizona State
KC beefs up their defensive line with Hardison, an athletic disruptor to play end in their 3-4 sceme.

99 (Compensatory). Cincinnati Bengals
QBm Bryce Petty, Baylor
The Bengals select Brice Petty to sit behind Andy Dalton. Dalton probably has one more crack at the playoffs before Cincinnati will consider moving away from them, but their time to hold together this extremely talented roster waiting for Dalton to turn the corner is waning.

Like Can....I see no reason to trade back up into the top of the 2nd. I'd go with...

1st - Nelson Algohor, WR, USC
2nd - Benardrick McKinney, ILB, Mississippi State
3rd - Tyler Lockett, WR, Kansas State
3rd - Steven Nelson, CB, Oregon State
3rd - Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor

thanks for the feedback, guys.

Part of me feels like some of you guys may be a little "once bitten, twice shy" on the Fisher thing. A lot of fatty hate around here, lol.

You don't trade down avoiding Shane Ray to take Erek Flowers. You just don't.

Round 4 is up:

http://www.cornerblitz.com/2015/Mocks/Final/R4.aspx

Here's what I have for the Chiefs so far.

http://www.cornerblitz.com/2015/Mocks/Final/KC.aspx

98 (Compensatory). Kansas City Chiefs
5T Marcus Hardison, Arizona State
KC beefs up their defensive line with Hardison, an athletic disruptor to play end in their 3-4 sceme.

118. Kansas City Chiefs
CB Alex Carter, Stanford
Adding Carter, the Chiefs improve the depth on the perimeter of the defense. Carter could be an eventual starter for the team.

Finished my mock last night...

http://www.cornerblitz.com/2015/Mock...l/Default.aspx

Here's what I came up with for the Chiefs at the end.

http://www.cornerblitz.com/2015/Mocks/Final/KC.aspx

80. Kansas City Chiefs
ILB Denzel Perryman, Miami (Fla.)

98 (Compensatory). Kansas City Chiefs
5T Marcus Hardison, Arizona State
KC beefs up their defensive line with Hardison, an athletic disruptor to play end in their 3-4 sceme.

118. Kansas City Chiefs
CB Alex Carter, Stanford
Adding Carter, the Chiefs improve the depth on the perimeter of the defense. Carter could be an eventual starter for the team.

172 (Compensatory). Kansas City Chiefs
OLB Zach Hodges, Harvard
With Justin Houston's contract situation and Tamba Hali's decreasing effectiveness, the Cheifs should look to bolster their depth at outside linebacker. The Chiefs opt for Hodges, the Ivy League product who is used to handling different assignments, and should be able to translate his game well to the position.

173 (Compensatory). Kansas City Chiefs
C Shaquille Mason, Georgia Tech
After missing out on all the top experienced center prospects, the Chiefs go for a conversion project in Mason. Mason has only played guard to this point, but Kansas City feels Kush is good enough to start until Mason has a good feel for the position.

217 (Compensatory). Kansas City Chiefs
FS Deshazor Everett, Texas A&M
The Chiefs select Deshazor Everitt, the defensive back from Texas A&M. Everitt is a very active defender who attacks the ball. Last year, he was second on the team with 74 tackles as a cornerback. He is very physical and has good man coverage skills. His best position in the pros may be free safety, as he has the smarts to diagnose the play and the toughness to go upfield to meet the ballcarrier.

233. Kansas City Chiefs
TE Ben Koyack, Notre Dame
It's tough to end this draft without a backup nose tackle for the Chiefs, but at this point the tight end position would add so much more value to the team for what is available. Koyack was considered with the Chiefs' last pick, so he is the selection here.

It was like I couldn't give the tight ends away in the draft. Maybe only 5 went before the 7th? Can't remember exactly.
