Yeah, I'm seeing 30% chance of some cold ass rain. I guess that's enough to make folks scatter in AZ, but I don't think they're going to call off a game this big because of it.

A stiff wind at 65 degrees is enough to make people in AZ scatter. The forecasts I'm seeing call for rain all day and then 40% around game time. You and al are there or at least in the region(I think)so I will defer to you guys and let go of my pessimism about this getting played

It might be postponed if it was a regular season game, but postponing a playoff game is a big hairy deal. They'll do it if they have to and it'll rain all night, but if there is any possibility of playing the game, they will.

Postponed playoff games don't just impact the fans tonight, they would impact people with game 2 tickets as well. If tonight were postponed, then people with game 1 tickets would go to the game tomorrow (not the makeup day), and people with game 2 tickets would have to suddenly change their plans and go Thursday instead of tomorrow.

Weather guy last night said rain for batting practice and right around first pitch. After that we should be in the clear to get the game in.

Yeah, it was a bit of a cluster**** during the ALCS last year... had different people lined up for games 3 and 4, and when 3 was postponed, the person who had the game 4 seat could only make it on the original day and not the next day. And IIRC, game 4 was originally prime time, but got rescheduled to 3pm.

And for some reason there was mass confusion on which ticket people were to use for each game, I guess partly due to people only being able to show up on certain days, like you said.

But hey, maybe it could create some good deals this year...
