I guess I should try to watch this series again. Couldn't make it through the first episode last time.

The season finale's Ggadiator battle at the end had to be one of the most epic fights ever on premium television.

Plus, I think the whole prequel thing kind of degraded the value of the story line in the original. BUT it didn't do it as bad as I thought it would. In order to keep interest until 2012, it was necessary. Posted via Mobile Device |

I enjoyed the prequel very much.
I don't think it took anything away from the original story and gave a great history on the characters. |

Will miss Melitta...she was fine. EDIT: Oh yeah, and what happened with Solonius, that was answered well also. Kind of wish that there had also been some sort of an affair or near to one with Lucretia to answer his sexual attaction to her in blood and sand. They vaguely hinted he was gay NTTAWWT or something, but not why he is so hot toward her. |

I know Gannicus is a real person in the history books. He was one of Spartcus's close allies in the rebellion. I don't remember much more about him but surely he wasn't freed and came back to aid the rebellion later?

Loved the second season, enjoyed it as much as the first though it was too short. Looking forward to next season when the gods provide yet another opportunity to shove cock in ass.

I find myself wanting to use the phrase "Jupiter's cock" all the time now.

Another phrase I liked was Battiatus saying, "Finally the gods have seen fit to remove cock from ass". |
