All of them were corners, and the one that will probably move to safety is going to be used in Abdullah's slot safety role.

I'm not worried longterm. I am confident that Ron Parker can play FS at a high level, and that the chiefs have enough talented defensive backs and linebackers who could be used as a SS.

Sutton used a lot more safeties because it had depth and was a strength of the team. He could just as easily shift to using more CBs if some of these young dbs pan out.

kinda like how they are using Daniel Sorenson, and possibly what they are envisioning of Justin March who at just under 6' and 227lbs is a little small for a traditional 3-4 ILB.

Interesting. Those quotes kinda go along with what I was saying here:

Not spending a draft pick on a box safety? Now that was a mistake, but hindsight is 20/20, and we still have one more offseason to get that guy.

Who knows? Maybe Shakiel Randolph is that guy. And maybe they intend on playing two ILB's (DJ and March) more often.

You know this how? You have no idea how Lynch will turn out. Nobody does.

Every NFL casual fan and GM outside of KC would take Derek Carr over Dee Ford if they had to choose today.

I don't really pay attention to contracts since I have accountants who handle that stuff. Does this news on Berry signal that he's in his last year with the team, or is it likely that a deal will get done next year/

I know that he's never going to be anything special with his mental limitations. His ceiling is Flacco, and just like Carr he's not a guy I'm going to lose sleep over for passing up.

Carr is extremely overrated. He was terrible down the stretch, and another guy I think will be held back because of the mental aspect. We might not have a legitimate QBOTF on the roster, but guys like Ford and Jones can actually help this team win a SB RIGHT NOW, which is what I'm more
concerned with. If we win it all in the next couple years I wouldn't care less that we passed on a couple of QB's that will never be elite.

When the Raiders have to pay up for Carr he will go from asset on a good contract to an overpaid QB with a contract that makes him difficult to build around.

These guys are not Manning/Brady/Rodgers caliber.

And as I've said before, you're stupid.

The Chiefs selected a mass haul of DBs because they lost their starter, and 2 important safeties, and converted 2 corners to safety.

Lmao alright Miss Cleo

Nobody has a clue how Carr's career will project and Ford isn't going to help the team win when he often runs himself out of plays.

just like this yr, it will likely depend on whether the Chiefs and Berry can agree on his value/worth and if any other safeties step up.

Its the same thing with Jamaal Charles. Ware and West make Charles more expendible in 2017 than if the chiefs didnt have proven backups with starter ability.

I think this will be Berry's last year as a Chief. If they couldn't get a deal done now, and if the rumor is true that they were never really even close to a deal, well, it'd sure seem that getting a deal done after this year is unlikely. He be gone.

Ford won a game on his own to keep our playoff hopes alive last season.

That's more than Carr would've done on our bench behind Smith.

You guys can keep acting like Ford is a certified bust, but the fact is he could've easily had an 8+ sack season had he started all 16 games, and should this season assuming he stays healthy.

He was among the leagues best in pressures from when he started to the end of the season, and if those pressures start turning into sacks he will be looked upon in a much different light, just like Fisher last year.

I'm betting he does and him and Houston turn into a dynamic duo coming off the edge

Also, what is up with all the hypocrisy today?

I'm miss Cleo for saying Carr won't be elite, but you can write off Ford after 7 or 8 starts?

He racked up a group of sacks against like a 4th or 5th string Left Tackle. He had an unusual situation for one rainy ass Sunday and just ran real fast with mixed results at best for the rest of the time.

Dee Ford has been a disappointment and will be a bust if he doesn't produce results. He hasn't had the playing time because he hasn't shown enough to take snaps away from an old and tired Tamba.

Do you really think they will run two ILB in their 34 based defense? That is really thinking outside the box.
