Anderson does not know Xs and Os.

Anderson's supporters keep saying he does, then I watch the extremely talented recruits he inherited regress and run around disorganized as shit on the floor.

Anderson doesn't know Xs and Os any better than any other run of the mill college assistant. His supporters keep trying to build him up as some tactical mastermind and yet there's never been any evidence of it. Sure, he used a loaded D-II squad to win a championship, but at this level he's been clearly overmatched.

Hell, at least give me Doug Wojcik. The guy might be unhinged and I'm not at all convinced he'd win anything but he actually does possess some tactical chops. If nothing else, we'd look more cohesive than a bad high school team.

It's pretty clear, MIZZOU has allowed itself to spiral into a pit of shit. From becoming a punch-line for politicians who want to hate on things, to repetitive fails in their more-visible-than-almost-anything-else sports programs, the college is a ****ing mess.

I don't see it ending any time soon.

If you watch the offense, there is no attempt to ever do anything. It's just a perimeter pass, then a dribble for six feet, and then another pass to a guy on the perimeter who does the same thing. There is no attempt at dribble penetration, back cuts, no screens away from the ball, nothing.

I think I've told the story of last year's Florida game - a game we actually won somehow.

About mid-way through the first half we realized that they simply did nothing on offense. Like you said, pass around the perimeter over and over and over again.

We started clocking off how long into the shot clock it took them to even get the ball inside the 3-point line. It was routinely 20+ seconds to even get the offense started and they'd oftentimes take the shotclock down to less than 10 seconds before they'd even get inside the line.

Anderson doesn't know shit for Xs and Os. It's just the last thing that his supporters can hold onto and pray that the really uniformed will buy into it.
