Welp
Wes Welker has two inches and 20 pounds on McCluster.

Do you know what "Speed score" means, dumbass?

Give me a ****ing break.

The implication is that McCluster bombed the 40 in the combine, therefore he's slow. Wes Welker's time for any receiver is extraordinarily slow. It's even slower given that he's small and short. Calvin Johnson is 7" taller and 50 lbs heavier and he ran the 40 time almost .3 faster than Welker.

Nobody would call Welker slow.

Just gonna copy and paste this from now on.

You're making this too complicated.

It doesn't matter if you think he's fast or quick or good at handjobs or flipping burgers or whatever.

The simple fact: he doesn't make plays. He doesn't contribute to winning football.

When he gets the ball, 9 times outta 10...no one gives a shit.

Welker is effective despite a slow 40 time.

McCluster is marginally effective with a slow 40 time.

Huge difference.

I"m not calling them anywhere near the same player. I'm talking about the idea that a slow 40 time makes you slow.

People on here didn't mention that he ran the 2nd fast 20-yard shuttle and 3-cone. The guy isn't slow. He's agile. It just hasn't yet translated onto an NFL field. And maybe never will.

Being one of the smallest players in the NFL and having a meh 40 time isn't fatal.

Being one of the smallest players in the NFL and having a meh 40 time and not having cracked 1700 yards from scrimmage in 3 NFL seasons and still hoping for an upside is a whole lot of wishful thinking.

I am hoping for an upside because Andy Reid has plans for him, and I don't take that endorsement lightly. I also didn't like the decision to make him a RB in 2011 (and every offensive player gets a pass for 2012 under Daboll).

I recognize his limitations. He'll probably never be great. But I don't see why he can't be a contributing 800+ yard guy again, which isn't going to light the world on fire, but it's decent enough.

Because i would rather see Charles, Bowe and Avery get those yards. They can actually score TD's.
