I can't remember precisely Allen Bailey's contribution in his first year but I'm thinking we should be expecting something similar (or well maybe a bit more if Bailey didn't play at all).

Bailey was drafted about 20 spots lower but he was pretty much just as much a physical specimen, with pretty much the same measurables and considered raw.

Bailey was even more raw. He had only played DL for a couple years.

I believe he played 3 years of HS. He's still been playing DL longer than Bailey had.

2-down NTs aren't hard to get your hands on in the draft and even guys with 3-down talent are usually considered 3rd rounders at most. Tomlinson was the only guy that exceeded where I thought he'd go.

If it took $8 million to get him on a make-good deal, I can't see them giving him what it would take to get him long-term.

Bailey is four inches shorter and probably weighed quite a bit less, since Bailey is listed at 285 today.

Just because of the Bailey comparisons.

And I like Bailey. He held his end up admirably on the line.
