Should Dorsey & Reid Be Fired Immediately?

1. They passed on a "Franchise QB" nine weeks before the NFL draft.

2. They traded for a guy that has "Cassel-like" statistics.

3. They haven't made an "effort" to re-sign Bowe.

4. They haven't made an "effort" to re-sign Albert(s).

5. They will most likely take a Left Tackle with the #1 pick because they "can't trade back".

Poll to follow.

This. I can give them this year and next years draft to pick the best college QB draft pick in the first round. I think it's a dis honest to act as if we can just find any late round QB and expect him to be a starter or take over at some point. Sure we could but why not pick the best QB the draft has to offer?

I did not want Alex Smith before we got him and am pissed off we got him. I'm bitter about it much butthurt I am.

I can live with a season with him as long as we are picking QBotf from the draft if not this year then next years draft. I do not want be stuck with this retread next 4 to 5 years with out having a Super Bowl behind it.

Winners always look for the best possible solution to a problem. Winners take risks and are willing to work at winning.

Losers take the safe known path of least resistance. Unwilling to branch out and be successful if it involves risk.

So far we have seen this before. We know how this movie ends. Nothing new to see here.

Bullshit.

Adam Schefter (the most respected insider out there) said that NO TEAM was willing to part with two picks for Alex. We gave up a second and another pick that will be either another second or a third. That means we offered close to double what anyone else was willing to part with.

I want a list of posters that would be ok with trading a 16th overall pick in the FIRST ROUND for Alex Smith because that's essentially what we gave up.

Winner Winner!!!!

Clark knows how to fleece this insecure fanbase for cash... Cold hard Cash...

I thought Clark has been brilliant this offseason while minimizing the risk. Chiefs fans are lemmings. They want 9-7 and need 9-7 so they can have their bullshit tailgate before the game and feel they are relevant with minimal risk.

Its the midwest and its midwest values.

Clark has figured it out and knows how to make money off of the fans by the truck load.

Dude is pure genious...

There is no point in firing them if Clark is going to tell their replacement to get another recycled QB failure and not to draft one.

Do I want Reid and Dorsey fired right now? No. I want this team to be the titanic failure that I believe it will be in 2013 with Smith at QB. I'm hoping for an 0-16 season, TBQH. Then, maybe Clark will mandate that his new regime draft a QB to develop, rather than giving away two ****ing second round picks for a bullshit game manager.
"A rookie QB isn't going to fix this mess, even if there was one worth the #1 overall pick. The Chiefs should have been smart and built up the trenches first. Luckily there are plenty of fine LTs available, so we can move Joeckel to the right side to replace Winston's ineffective ass."

I joke about this now, but we all joked about taking an offensive linemen and trading for a veteran QB early in the season when we first realized what a shit**** of a team the 2012 Chiefs were. Now look what's going to happen.

I'm honestly not even sure what to think about signing Smith yet, still trying to wrap my head around the potential ramifications.

His trajectory better still be on a steep climb for me to be anywhere close to satisfied, i know that much.

A promising young arm in the second or third would sure help me feel better.

From Michael Silver's Yahoo column today:

"I'd say it was somewhere between steep and outright theft," one AFC general manager said in response to the trade, echoing the sentiments of many of his peers. "I would have had a hard time giving up two 2s. He was a free agent last year, and it's not like people were pounding down his door to sign him."

THIS surely need to be prepared for either :

1 injury, Smith has a history of injuries and concussions and takes a ton of sacks even with the best OL in the NFL

2 stinks it up and spirals downward out of control, has been known to do this with the 8 benchings

Hey just may play well though with the new surroundings and a fresh start!

Hopefully the team backs him as well as fans if not, its lights out and he will not make it through the season, it will be hit or miss.
