(I'm from Tennessee, and I love it...so a pre-eff off.) I've watched him live for three years. His arm is off the charts. But he's apparently a big enough head case that NFL teams were scared of drafting him. That says a lot. I'm extremely interested in seeing what happens to him. But UDFA's rarely even get a shot at that position. |

I'm not the least bit excited about Bray. Not gonna pin my hopes on an UDFA

I can't buy in until I get some still photos of his 3 step drop from camp.

This is a guy who was expected to challenge for the top pick in the 2014 draft, and we just got him for nothing.
Suppose there had been a run on QBs in the mid-late first round... If we had traded Albert and our third to grab the last pick in the first round to grab Bray, CP would have been celebrating. If he had stayed in school, but we were assured that the Chiefs were going to draft him in the first round next year even if it meant trading away an RGIII type bounty, Dorsey would be seen as a visionary. Get him for nothing? Meh...should have drafted Geno a round and a half early...and the Bills are dumb for drafting the QB they wanted a round early.

We have to remember that these are KIDS. How mature were we at 21? If I had been a stud QB in college, I'da been a drunked-out partier bangin' all the chicks I could. Last thing I'da been thinking was how to memorize the playbook. Especially if I had a 59 mph fast ball to go deep with.
Take 2 years for him to mature while getting coached up by Andy and he can be something. Going undrafted may have been the best thing for him.

If you have the arm, you want to throw it deep. Like Flacco. Lets see if we can coach him up and watch him develop.

Whatever.
You watch, come preseason when people see the talent he has vs. scrubs it will be man-crush time. When there's no pressure and he's competing vs. 3rd stringers and camp fodder the hype will build. Once Smith becomes Smith people will be wanting to put him in. And until we do those people won't realize his full-reerun...

Really good to see the Chiefs bring in a guy with all the measurables, but my hope for Tyler Gray QBOTF starts the day he beats out Stanzi and Tanney and makes the final roster. Very intriguing prospect, very surprising he was not drafted and even more surprising he chose KC. I am so ready to see KC start attempting down field passes again.

Bray at least made me laugh in his Gruden Camp.
Gruden: The thing about Peyton Manning, was he could never beat who? Bray: Florida. Gruden: What about Tyler Bray? Who could Tyler Bray never beat? Bray: The entire SEC. |
