Chiefs best draft move in the last five years

An Espn article over the weekend discussed what best draft move each NFL team has made over the past five years. Planteer fan favorite Adam Teicher weighed in for the Chiefs and said trading two second round picks for Alex Smith was the best draft move the Chiefs have made.

What other draft moves would trump this notion? Is drafting Marcus Peters in the first round larger than trading for Alex Smith? What draft move has this organization made that has been more impact full than trading for Alex Smith?

If ever there were a response that could accurately sum up the voice of Chiefs fans, this is it right here.

**** you, Teicher. Seriously...**** him. Piece of shit.

I remember being real skeptical about the Poe pick. Wasn't expecting them to draft a combine workout warrior like him in the first. Thought it was pretty non-conventional for the Chiefs at the time. Was also a bit skeptical about him working out. I really, really like that pick now.

Two second round picks to go from 4 wins to perennial playoff contender is a helluva deal. Marcus Peters, Kelce and Houston round out the top 4. Surprised Teicher wrote a positive article on Smith

Looking back, Pioli could have had the best draft in franchise history in 2011 had he not ****ed up the Baldwin pick.

Rodney Hudson is a top 5 Center. Justin Houston is a top 5 pass rusher. Allen Bailey has been a goddamn steal and one of the better DL collapsing the pocket.
But, passing on Andy Dalton makes that a moot point.

As a single best draft pick, it's pretty damn close between Peters and Houston.

You're kidding right?

Justin Houston is injury prone and overweight.

If anything he's trending towards a "good pick" and a disaster signing.

Two players that all teams knew had skill and passed on for personal reasons.

Houston's warts are already showing. Peters might be next.

He's probably right. That's how bad the Chiefs drafting has been the past 5 years.
