In other words it's the Godfather part 2 of the franchise.

This is the movie I've been dying to see. Sounds like it has delivered. Great news.

An early review.
Dawn is to Rise of the Planet of the Apes what The Empire Strikes Back was to Star Wars — it’s that much better. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/mov.../review/715555 |

Man, Rise didn't get much hype but I thought that one was great. Very, very enjoyable.
If this one is so much better, I'll be in danger of jizzing everywhere. |

Heh, I thought they were pretty good actually.
Enjoyed the Island of the Apes documentary as well.

Tomatometer Consensus: With intelligence and emotional resonance to match its stunning special effects, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes expands on its predecessor with an exciting and ambitious burst of sci-fi achievement.

Got a prime center reserved premium seat for the 10:30 show tonight at the ICON with Atmos.
It's bittersweet in a way because the buildup has left me somewhat capricious... probably the movie I've been most keen upon seeing over the last year or so.
