I wasn't there. I do know there is video of bowe waiving his arms up and down during they injury to have the crowd cheer cassel on I guess. Not sure what effect that had but it was some of it.

I hated the trade from the start. But that contact and move was on the organization. Cassel was just doing what he could. If a team was silly enough to leave the organization in his hands, that's on them.

How in the name of all that is holy did this turn into a Matt Cassel thread? I thought Clay got banned. His stink is pervasive!

So where does he rank as the best players on the team? Top 10 for sure right? Maybe even top 5?

Anyone hear if KC is interested in FA OGs? I'm fine with ours and know well draft one. Just curious

Literally about 15 or 20 people surrounding this guy, me included, were calling him out and basically asking "what the **** is that about?"
I felt dirty as a Chiefs fan leaving the stadium that day after witnessing that shit show.
I was there as well.

And the cheer was because Cassel had been laying piles on the field all day and Quinn came running onto the field.

I genuinely don't think most people realized Cassel was hurt until after the initial burst of applause. It didn't look this this bone shattering hit; it just looked like the coaching staff had finally had enough. If my memory serves, the pass was actually completed and maybe even got a first, so there was a little cheer there and then in came Quinn to more applause. When eyes panned over to Cassel and he was on the ground, things calmed down a lot. It was pretty much completely quiet once once the training staff got out there; people suddenly realized that he wasn't getting up and yes, the stadium quieted down substantially.

As for Winston - **** that grandstanding tool in the face. He's holding court there. I've seen it a hundred times; guys know when they're puffing up and trying to make a scene and that's exactly the posture and charged rhetoric you use. That's the kind of shit you see from politicians looking to score cheap points or attorneys in closing arguments. That panning the crowd and where he put beats in his speech.

Seriously, **** him. I don't think he cared any more about Cassel than any of the crowd did. I've seen genuine concern and it ain't that. That's simply a polished public speaker trying to pat himself on the back for the cameras.

Would love it if we signed Geoff Schwartz. He can be had for cheap and can play multiple positions. Would be excellent bench depth.

Except for the fact that he's been injured consistently since leaving KC, was only available for 2 games in 2014 and 11 in 2015, and hasn't played a full 16 game season since 2010.

He'll also be 30 in July.

No thanks.

To me, he's nothing more than a depth addition due to his injury history lately. Just can't bank on him starting and staying healthy right now.

I was in NE for the KC game when Brady got injured. My friend and I didn't even realize(ironically enough) that Brady was hurt until Cassel had come in. What's blatantly obvious on TV can be missed from the stands sometimes.

People mistake fans being happy someone's hurt vs happiness that we wouldn't have to see him again. ****ing right I was happy he got hurt because that was the only way he'd be gone. Pioli just couldn't admit mistakes.

**** that gooney goo goo giant douchebag Winston

I bet you didn't want to be an opposing defensive end or nose tackle in the high school that played the Schwartz boys. The coach probably had one play in his playbook if those guys were on the line.
