That'd be great if he came cheap enough. He can back up three positions, and we probably need another guy assuming we cut Grubbs and Fanaika.

I'm just catching up, but I can't imagine how anyone can feel anything other than amazed and giddy, and a little mystified.
So far, what I'm reading is that he got all these guys signed to reasonable deals. How the hell did he do it?

Now if Dorsey could just get his HC to manage the clock better and quit tampering.

He got Schwartz for less than 2 mil more per year than the Broncos signed Stephenson for. Jeff Allen got more than Schwartz. He also got Howard at a deal so much better than Malik Jackson's it's unbelievable. The difference in those contracts isn't indicative of the difference in the players. Dorsey is a God. |

Yeah, right.
If true, Dorsey played the Raiders like a fiddle. |

I, and others, have been saying for while now that We'd like to see the Chiefs sign Jeremy Lane rather than signing Sean Smith.
After today, I believe there's a chance he'll get that done.

I'd love the idea of bringing Geoff Schwartz back since he'd have to be a lot cheaper than when we first got him. Maybe Mitchell helps us get a hometown discount. Our OL badly needs depth and he'd be a really nice swing lineman, at the right price.

---------------------------------- Seahawks re-signed CB Jeremy Lane to a four-year contract. Turning 26 this July, Lane is a quality young slot corner whose durability limited his market value. He was a difference maker when healthy down the stretch of last season, however, playing stingy slot coverage and intercepting two passes in the final six games. The Seahawks' secondary should return intact with Richard Sherman and Deshawn Shead at outside corner, Lane in the slot, and Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor manning the safeties. Mar 9 - 8:40 PM |

What an amazing deal. The AAV, the structure, the fit and the quality of the player. It's just unreal he got that guy for what the Texans gave Allen, a guy who isn't as good as Schwartz even when he's healthy (and he's never healthy). It really does defy belief.
