Actually the redlines from 1973 are about the best. They had lost much of the initial excitement after being introduced in 1968, so production levels dropped and interest waned a bit. Hence some pretty rare cars.

1st dibs I wish the prices on there were real. I'd be worth more than Donald Trump.

I think the piece is more Showa period (1920s) than Meiji. The burled wood like that was way more popular in that period. Hibachi's are a tough sale. I've had a couple and got $400ish for both.

I have a fair collection of Japanese Edo and Meiji furniture pieces and a large amount of Japanese ceramics and ivories. If you are ever in KC I pretty much know everyone in the biz. My girlfriend has done estate sales for 42 years so I see a lot of stuff.

Don't know if this is the right place but I have a Chiefs outdoor bar set pictured here that is brand new and needs a home.I would take $450 for it(you pick-up) as it is a heavy mother and comes in three bagged sections.If sold I will also give $50 to to Kyle for CP.

Thanks for the information. I didn't really know much about it when I bought it, no one else there even knew what it was...the auctioneer asked if anyone knew and I told them it was a bedroom outhouse.....
Even if $300 is the value, I'm coming out good. If you know a buyer it is available.

I go to several estate sales/year and I'm still learning the ropes. I have tried to stick with the few things I DO know about, or items I can find what they have SOLD for on ebay. I pick some too and had a dealer stop last weekend and took a load. I'm liking that more than dealing with individuals.

I'm certain in my area, if I knew more what I was looking for I'd get some STEALS on antique furniture.
