They also know the QB position is the most important and there is no guarantees that the player they want will still be around in the draft for their pick.

1 in the hand versus.

I am sure this report is on purpose due to the timing. They might also mention KC since they have #1 and that might make other teams consider AS since we do have a choice @ #1 unlike the others.

Look at the timing of all this. Ironic that it comes out right after the top QB in the draft impresses at the combine. Who would benefit from this story being leaked? Certainly not the chiefs or any other qb hungry team. The better the top qbs do leading up to draft day the more desperate the niners front office is to try to screw some team out of a pick.
