2015 Fantasy Discussion

Drafts coming up in a couple weeks, and I haven't seen a thread yet.

Was wanting to get some input overrated players/sleepers/strategies etc.

I've been going back and forth on what I want to do with my 2nd rounder. I've done a few mocks, and I really want to take Luck in the 2nd.. but I just can't seem to get as good of a team that route.

Also for the later 1st round who do you take out of CJ Anderson, Jeremy Hill, and Demarco Murray? To me its between Murray and CJ.. Leaning towards Murray. I don't think there will be a huge dropoff for him this year like everyone else seems to think

Not a huge sleeper, but I've been taking Jordan Matthews in just about every mock. I think he is going to have a HUGE year and he will be great value. Even Agholor should be a good late pick. Also Martavis Bryant. I think they finally found the guy to take some pressure off of Antonio Brown. Lastly I like Ameer Abdullah.. he should be a great fit in that offense, and I saw that Bell is going to start the season on the PUP

I've got too many damn receivers on my team. Right now I'm thinking of benching Antonio brown and Odell Beckham for the weekend. Am I overthinking these matchups or should I legitimately fear the Denver and Carolina pass defenses even against the elite receivers. My starters for the weekend as of now are Sammy Watkins, Alston Jeffery, and aj green. I just like there matchups better even with green having an Alabama qb throwing to him. Am I completely overthinking this one? Is it stupid to bench two of the best fantasy receivers in the game during the playoffs just because of the matchup?

I hear ya. I'm benching Eli in favor of Mariota. Thinking of playing Rueben Randle just because Beckham will have Josh covering him but prolly won't even play him.

I've made several swaps this week - also may be overthinking it:

Carolina defense --> Chiefs D
Eli --> Mariota
Bryce Brown --> Albert Morris

Speaking of your WRs, wow you are stacked. Looks like an 8 team league there.

10 team league with a few of those teams not knowing shit about football. Glad with my final decision to not bench brown. Still faced cam newton today so it's gonna be close. Hope you didn't bench that Chiefs defense today

David Johnson may have very well saved my season as long as Brees doesn't doesn't throw INT's and/or focuses entirely on Snead.

Had to sweat it in the 2nd half. Championship game in the only 2 money leagues I played this year. Winning $500-$1300 because of Golden ****ing Tate tonight. Thank God he got that 1 2nd half catch tonight. They definitely made me sweat it tonight. I've got $200 in, so it's a winning proposition this year. I'm up in Fanduel, but not the $1500 I won last year. I'll be up $250 or so and am going to call it good for the year. Feels too much like I'm grinding poker tables this year...

In the championship game after a fairly crappy and unlucky year.

Drafted several boom or bust players and they ALL ended up busting: Spiller, Sproles, Harvin, Devante Parker, DeVante Adams, Charles Clay. (Again, we get return yars in my league, hence the attractiveness of the first three players.. if only they had contributed on offense reliably).

Injuries didn't hurt me too much, since I think I only lost Charles to injury, and Ben's injury reduced Brown's scoring, but I can't complain about that too much.

Traded for Jordan Reed, picked up Osweiler (2 QBs can start), West, McFadden, and Hurns throughout the year and rode a few hot hands to victory.

I am the only player to win two championships over the seven year history of this league, and I am primed to make it three! Woot woot!

Really thought my season was over several weeks in.

My playoffs started 3 weeks ago as I was 2 games behind 2 separate leaders,I'm on a 3 game win streak knocking off both guys in front of me and won the division last night netting me an extra hundy.Playoffs start this week(yep a week 17 SB) and of course I have OBJ and am anxiously awaiting news on Brees foot.

So I'm in the CP $100 league, 2nd round after 1st rd. bye.

Talk about a game.

I had Antonio Brown. After he destroyed Denver's secondary I got a little excited thinking championship.
When is AB's 49 points & a 40 point lead over your opponent who has one RB left not a good time to celebrate? When said manager has David Johnson.

Holy cow, DJ put up 30 points by half.

So now all of a sudden I'm losing by 10 & have Hightower left. I needed 1.2 point most of the 2nd half. 2 minute mark @ the goal line & New Orleans is doing their best Seattle SB impression by passing.
I gave up.
Although Hightower did score at the end of the 1st half, albeit being reversed, 2 TD's on that drive were.

The last play of the game, an 18 yard completion to Hightower won it for me by 2 points instead of losing by 1.2. 164.3-162.7

Bernard or McFadden? I really can't decide.

OR I start McFadden, Bernard, David Johnson and bench Davante Adams. But I like Adams this week against Arizona. It should be a high scoring game and include lots of passing for GB.

Who here knows anything about Gurley vs. the seahawks this week? I am in the championship and absolutely despise the franchise I am playing.

The alternative is Ameer Abdullah vs. the 30th ranked San Fran defense.

FWIW, I've had the Ram defense all year. I'm in the championship & I've replaced them with Miami, lol.

When Gurley & the Defense are dialed, they're both point producers. It's just they've been so inconsistent lately.

Seattle is currently on a roll. I don't see Gurley going over 15, imo.

Devante Adams sucks. I don't care what anyone says, Jordy Nelson's absence has really stymied their offense.

Speaking of Rams D, Hasselbeck's hurt, so I'm hoping the Fish D slow him down.
