Thanks for picking that out.

It’s true. Look, I have no doubts that he got a richer deal than he maybe should have because it’s FA, but just based of what I have watched—he’s legitimately worth $13-14M per year, for sure.

Dude was beating some of the best CBs in the league with his routes last year, sometimes by a lot. His routes are sick. He’s worth even more to us IMO because he can put us over the top. Few offenses have ever had this much skill. They present quite the challenge.

I hope not only for our sake as Chiefs fans—but for his sake as a guy who hasn’t caught much of a break in his career that he absolutely kills it here. I want all of the haters who have dogged on this deal to eat their crow.

Defenses win championships when your QB sucks ass and you need them to carry you.

But most championship teams have a little bit of everything. It’s not one or the other.

And if you want to say that Sutton is the issue, fine, all fair. But from a pure talent perspective, you can do a lot worse than what the Chiefs currently have on defense. And they are obviously going to add onto that by training camp.

That unit is already extremely different than it was last year. People need to stop acting like that isn’t the case.

They have improved speed, range and 3 down ability at ILB and corners that want to play the run and pass.

They are going to be a lot different.
