Looking to upgrade my phone
OK, I'm at that stage where I'm considering upgrading my phone. Keep in mind, I prefer to stay one generation behind because of pricing. I currently have a LG G Flex 2 that has served me well the past year but it also needed to be sent in twice for battery issues. My previous phone was a LG G2 that I loved.

That said, I'm only seeing two phones inside my price range that would be an upgrade and not break the bank for me. I'm curious on everyones take of each phone.

ZTE Axon 7 and LG G5. specs wise there is not a lot of difference between the two. The G5 has the notably better camera and a removable battery. The Axon has great sound over speakers, a very sharp screen, and headphones and includes a 2 year premium warranty that covers practically anything that happens to it.

The ZTE Axon 7 is currently $389 and I can get the G5 for around $370.

The primary things I want from my phone is sharp screen, camera quality, battery life, and sound quality.

EDIT - The Axon will get Nougat 7.1.1 while the G5, I believe, is only getting 7.0

Wow, the G4 is only 129 bucks on Amazon. That's a ridiculous amount of phone for the money.

Just made out like a bandit switching from sprint to t-mobile. Got two lines of unlimited data for 80 bucks per month, traded in my iphone 6 for a free galaxy s7 edge, and got my wife an iphone 7 for 26 bucks per month. After accounting for 10 dollars per month off with auto pay, our bill will be 96$ per month with taxes and fees already included. Oh yeah, and they there in a free gear vr headset for free. I severely underestimated how neat VR is.

The only thing that concerns me is the ones on Amazon don't have a warranty since they are international. I have amazon credit to use so I really want to get it through them. I don't really want to purchase a square trade for it as then I am just paying for a warranty that should have been included in the first place.

I preordered the Galaxy S8+. The thing is a beast. It can run as a freaking desktop if you get the DeX dock. 6.2 inch screen, but it's smaller than my Note 7 was. It's the same size as the latest Iphone plus that only has a 5.5 inch screen.

I loved my Note 7 before I had to turn it back in.

Can't wait for Friday. I've already played around with the display. It's the most beautiful phone I've seen to date.

Have you looked into Google Nexus 5x or Pixel? I have a 5x I bought last year, really happy with it. Lightest phone I've ever owned. Doesn't come loaded with bloatware either. I got the 32 gig model for like 229. There is an intl version too.
