WTF was that? He has good numbers against the pitcher. He rarley bunts and it shows. Are we sure it was ordered? The booth was speculating he did it on his own.

Grichuk has 20/10 vision. Why can't he pick up the rotation on the ball?

A) I don't think they'd be as interested in him. He can't play anywhere other than 1b and Duda could be back by September. Moss can at least play LF a bit. Granted, with Conforto out there there's no need to start him, but Granderson is 35 with a .199 BA right now. The Mets could well have Moss supplant him if he doesn't turn it on.

B) I still don't think the talent that Adams showed in the minors is just gone. I think he was simply lazy and took too long to adapt. I also think he let the shift (and Mabry) **** him up. That said, some of the adjustments he's tried to make over the last 2 years may have finally started to work. He's actually capable of driving a ball to LC instead of just hitting flared singles and seeing eye grounders out there.

Ultimately with Moss you know what you're going to get - a very flawed player that's pretty much nothing but HRs or outs. He hits those towering flies that are almost always caught if they stay in the yard. He's among the few remaining '3 true outcome' players and ultimately I don't really want another one of those guys with Grichuk already in the lineup. What we really need is a credible LH bat that can actually take quality ABs. Maybe Adams isn't that guy but if he isn't, who cares? We non-tender him and move along. Having Moss won't make much of a difference on balance but having Adams develop into the guy he looked like he could be 3 years ago actually would.

Piscotty is 6/9 with 12 RBI's with the bases loaded in his career.

This, Adams has the much bigger upside. At this point keeping them both is stupid. When Peralta comes back we have a ton of options better than Moss. I'd rather have Pham/Hazelbaker than Moss. Holliday and Adams are fine to rotate now and when Peralta comes back you could use Carpenter there as well. Moss won't bring anything solid, find some project someone has given up on and take a flyer on them. It was a stupid contract that will be made dumber by keeping better more flexible talent held back.

Makes the most sense. Diaz has been playing a much better shortstop, shown some good range. He still miss throws the easy 1B out but it seems something he could get over. It's looking like a guy that everyone in baseball gave up on might be our starting SS for the next 6 years.

Carson Kelly has always been a good defensive catcher but this year he's hitting near .300. We may have found Molina's replacement.

Wong needs to get his act together. He has the talent. The cards gave him $25 million reasons for him to believe they want him in the long run. I think its a mental thing with him.

Adams goes back to being the Adams everyone has always seen, move Carp to 1B. Carp hasn't looked all that good at 3B anyway.
