Chiefs The 2021 Chiefs Draft Could Cement Their Legacy

After careful consideration of our roster and the players available in the upcoming draft, this is how I’d like to see the Chiefs approach the draft...

1st Round DE Gregory Rousseau

2nd Round (Trade Up) LT Samuel Cosmi

2nd Round DT Marvin Wilson/Alim McNeill//Tyler Shevlin

3rd Round ER Quincy Roche trade down and picking up additional picks...

LB Cameron McGrone

WR Amari Rodgers

G Sadarius Hutcherson

The Chiefs would solidify their D Line for the foreseeable future and help improve our pass rush. McGrone, gives us a key component at the LBer corp and gives us flexibility towards the cap, if he shows his worth and can surplant Hitchens. We also grab a starting LT, early in the second round, which is a feat in of it’s self and is a critical position in the NFL, especially having Mahomes. We should address it while we possibly have Fisher for his final year.

My Free Agent Target would be WR Chris Godwin

I just think the Chiefs are too close to getting back to the SuperBowl, to not target precise players and fix their issues with some players with super star potential and build for the future. Thoughts?

How are they finding the 20+ million dollars needed to sign Godwin? Also, I'm not sure Cosmi makes it to the 2nd round. Would love for GR to fall to us at 31, but again I'm not sure that happens either.

None of this is going to happen. Rousseau is going before #31, Cosmi will likely go around then and won't last far into the 2nd round.

Chris Godwin is going to get franchise tagged, which means you'd have to give up picks to get him AND give up picks to trade up.

It's just not going to happen.
