Chiefs Is Fulton a better C than Morse? - Page 3

I think it's obvious that Fulton is a much better C than he is a G. But it seems that for 2 seasons in a row, our O-line does better with him at C. Marginally, maybe. When Morse came back this year our line went to shit. Not saying it's Morse's fault but Morse at C and Fulton at G doesn't seem to work well.

Meanwhile, it seems whenever Morse goes down and Fulton goes to C we actually do pretty good.

Devey will be 30 next year.

Ehinger had ACL surgery 13 months ago, so he's not likely to be 100% just yet.

Fulton is the more powerful of the two, that's for sure

Between the constant injuries, and finesse style, I'm not sold on Morse long term like I used to be... all of that ability to pull and/or get to the second level isn't much good in short yardage or goal to go situations

It's hard to envision big changes along the line in 2018, but am definitely tired of 'athletic' linemen... we need a few more animals, and a few less athletes up there

I just don't understand why he wasn't put on IR or at least on PUP to start the year. He has been a waste of a roster spot this season. If they had done that, then they could have brought him back if he got healthy.

I agree that Fulton's been better at C than Morse this year. But Morse has never been worse at C in his entire career. It's not just the physical ability; he looks confused a lot. For a guy who came into the league with an innate sense of how to feel danger and provide help to linemates at the right time, that seems to have completely vanished.

I'm not at all inclined to give up on Morse because as a rookie he was one of the best Cs in the league and I'm convinced he can easily get back there again. But something's just not been right this year.

I'm not sure that it's confusion.

I don't think that he's fully recovered from his injury, so he isn't confused so much as lacking the ability to get the spots he wants to get to.

Gotta say I've been impressed with Fulton at C since he sucked so bad a RG.

Its so much better for this O if we can run like we have the last 2 games - just opens things up so much for Nagy to call and keep the D guessing.

Well those 5-6 games Hunt and the running game/OL as a whole wasn't able to do shit.

Fulton and LDT are mauling people off the point of attack right now. And it's paying off.

Alex still missed Kelce wide open multiple times early on in the game, resulting in two 3nouts, but overall Smith played a good game. Didn't turn the ball over.

But biggest reason why we won are the TO's (good job, Peters. Nice to have ya back.) and the running game. If you can win those 2 battles, more times than not, you'll win the game.
