The Cinncinnati Bengals Selections:
1st rounder Kony Ealy DE Missouri 2nd rounder A.J. McCarron QB Alabama 3rd rounder Trevor Reilly OLB Utah 4th rounder Walt Aikens CB Liberty 5th rounder Bryan Stork C Florida State 6th rounder Isaiah Crowell RB Alabama State 6th rounder John Brown WR Pittsburgh State 7th rounder Howard Jones OLB/DE Shepherd 7th rounder Elhadji Ndiaye DE Nebraska-Kearny Ok so Bengals draft is done and this is what this team has after some questionable picks and some future gems. Of course their aren't a lot of big names in this draft, but big names don't always work sometimes lesser names become strong Pros. Coming in I saw the needs as DE, OLB, C, CB,WR, and backup QB. The last isn't a popular decision and yes I like Dalton but if you aren't sure you have a QB that can win in the big game you have to get someone who can. AJ is getting down graded bad by critics he's a leader you can't teach that. So then on to needs I knocked them out one by one. Ealy for DE, Trevor Reily for OLB, Stork with big game experience for C, and Walt Aikens a little know future starting CB. With all needs taken care of it was time to take some gambles for the future First there is RB Isaiah Crowell once regarded as best RB in high school football. He made some mistakes but everyone deserves another chance. Every year there are small college players that become house hold names . Who are Howard Jones and Elhadji Ndiaye maybe we will know them next year or the following years to come. Overall I'm satisfied with my team and my draft. I thank Pest and all of you for letting me participate this year and hopefully I can participate in the future. |

I would be very surprised if we passed on Ward if he's still on the board at 23. They do seem to be counting on Abdullah though so anythings possible.

I didn't do a rundown of the Packers picks, so here it is.
1.21 Louis Nix III, NT, Notre Dame 2.53 Terrence Brooks, FS, Florida State 3.85, Shane Skov, ILB, Stanford 3.98 Billy Turner, OG/OT, North Dakota State 4.121 Josh Huff, WR, Oregon 5.161 George Uko, DE/DT, USC 5.176 Shaquil Barrett, DE/OLB, Colorado State 6.197 Ross Cockrell, CB, Duke 7.236 Brock Jensen, QB, North Dakota State I don't want any Packer fans bitching at me for not addressing need. That's 9 picks, and six of them are defense. I bolstered the defensive line, added two players for linebacker depth, and took care of the secondary. I don't care what kind of injuries happen this year. If Dom Capers can't make this defense play with THAT kind of depth on the team, the guy deserves to be fired. |

Another great mock draft! Next year has to be my turn to be the Chiefs. I'm the only original left yet to have them! Let's hope my draft slot is #32.
