Oh maybe that it's the same track that he caused a seventeen car pileup just last year that sent two to the hospital.
Oh yeah the most definitely needed fact that 820 miles away there were other drivers getting ready to race... Posted via Mobile Device |

^ @ Bug
The kid was running out on a dirt track where cars are drifting in his invisible pedestrian costume and got hit. Any questions?

Anyone who has made more than two laps in a midget or winged sprint is laughing their asses off at half the comments in this thread. |

It's an accident, for sure. He didn't mean to do it. But he did mean to make a point.... and it ended in a death. |

54-page thread and no one thought to research Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints, a 360 Sprint-Car Series. Maybe I missed the posts. However, it is not as simple to watch a 50-second video that ends in death and have a first impression short on racing facts.
As as soon as you see an angled wing on the roof, you know, it is a drifting race. The racecar in front had swerved not to hit the driver. Dirt racing is different from racing on a paved surface. The paved surface is static. The dirt changes because it is loose and other cars have run over it. As the race goes on, the surface continues to change and is unpredictable. Drivers do not have control of their cars as compared to when racing on pavement. I want to believe that racing fans understand that actions have consequences. Ward's decision to get out of his car to confront Stewart cost him his life. Who knew that there were so many racing fans and one racing expert at CP.

heres a video, watch the beginning and you will see the car going around at caution speeds. no drifting for sure. it goes right around the track with no blips of the throttle to make it turn. then watch again at the 4 minute mark, caution. hell what about the 6 minute mark, how in the world does he turn into the pits without goosing the throttle? |

I like the whole, "Track surface changing and being unpredictable." I can look at a track surface and tell you what its going to do for car handling. Its far from unpredictable, just requires a drive to make changes to the car, and adjust their driving to the track.
