Cassell is just not predictable at all. He had some great games when Brady was out. Comes to the Chiefs does ok at times and just completely sucks at other times. He is like bipolar football.

A lot of people don't seem to remember pre-2012 Cassel... he had some good games against shitty teams, and you don't even have to include the Patriots (Tyler Palko probably could have had a decent game or two on that team) or garbage time (like the 400+ yard game against Denver). He may never get that back, but who knows, he could once again aspire to become mediocre with flashes of competence.

And hell, all it took around here to call Smith a huge upgrade was a couple of 20 yard drives against Jacksonville, so Vikings fans would probably want Cassel starting if he's capable of winning a game, regardless of stats.
