After we lose to Carolina, they will pose no threat to us. We got them easily beat in terms of opponents win percentage.

Jacksonville's the big one, but after the way I saw this play against Green Bay, they are still grittily fighting it out to the end. They haven't given up like we have. Check out their schedule:

DET @ JAC
IND @ JAC
JAC @ HOU
TEN @ JAC
JAC @ BUF
NYJ @ JAC
JAC @ MIA
NE @ JAC
JAC @ TEN

There aren't exactly any pushovers, but for a team that runs the ball and plays defense, they'll get one or two division wins out of that. I'd say one against the Titans and one against the Colts. Also, don't sleep on a possible upset victory against the Jets or Bills.

The Chiefs aren't in the clear yet, but we're definitely in the driver's seat

It feels good for the Chiefs to be the best at something.

Cleveland isn't going to draft a QB. Jacksonville won't finish worse than KC. Carolina isn't going to draft a QB. So the Chiefs are more than likely going to get whoever their man is, especially as long as Captain ****wit keeps playing.

completely irrelevant

Even if they don't draft a QB they can just trade down with somebody that does want a QB.

they'd be somewhat likely to trade it to a team that does want a QB though

Ordinarily I'd be relieved with that arrangement, but there are so many teams like Buffalo, the Jets, the Raiders, and even the Saints who are currently sucking dick and would be tempted to trade in front of us to grab the best QB. Yeah, it wouldn't be too pricey at all for KC to trade up to the #1 spot themselves just to assure that they get the top QB, but we all know how this organization operates. Sit back, play conservative, let the other teams make the bold moves, and then get caught with your pants down, where you tell the fans, "Gee, there just weren't any QBs available where we picked. Shucks. Oh well."

I know beggars can't be choosers, but ****. If we're going to do this losing thing, let's do it the right way and get the best QB in the draft. And let's conserve our picks, too. Go all out. Get the #1 pick by losing the most games. Then draft the **** out of this shit with our fancy new GM. And ****ing WIN!

I feel like the Saints are going to use their pick on the best MLB available and give their defense a heart and soul for the next 10 years.

The Jets and Bills might do something, but I don't see a scenario when KC doesn't have a look at at least two legitimate QB prospects. Maybe not Geno Smith, but Barkley and Wilson will for sure be options.

There is no option other than Geno.

I'm not going through the 1983 bullshit again and end up with Blackledge ver. 2.

Geno or bust!

You have no idea whether Geno will be better than any of the other prospects.
I would love to have Geno, but Barkley may turn out to be the better pro, and it would not surprise me if he did.

Yeah, and Ryan Tannehill might end up having the better career than Andrew Luck.

U just don't know!

That's all well and good, but I don't ****ing want Barkley or Wilson. That's all this franchise has ever ****ing done is accept circumstances for what they are instead of demanding the superior option.

Sorry, we're all out of chocolate cake. Do you want apple strudel instead?

Sorry, we're all out of Matt Ryan. Would you like some Glenn Dorsey?

Sorry, we're all out of Matt Stafford. How about a nice 5-tech?

Oops, looks like RGIII isn't going to fall to us. That's okay. There's always Dontari Poe.

****. That.

No more. I'm sick of this shit. Geno Smith is the most talented QB in the draft. He's got this highest ceiling, and likely has the best shot at turning this ****ing shit show around and pointing them in the direction of a goddamn Super Bowl.
