Perfect, so far it appears to work perfectly except for a few "no script" type of blockers which are pretty rare anyway.

Use Adblock Plus with Firefox and just disabled for this site. Now get the very unobtrusive ads but the subtle "hey asshole" message at the top remains.

Weird. All the script does is measure to make sure the ad divs have length and height values and not hidden. So basically, if you see the ads there is no way you should see the message.

Let me know if the message is still showing up and I'll test it with Firefox as well.

I don't have an adblocker so I wouldn't see it. I do see the ads at the bottom of the page.

Well, whitelisting CP in ABP has one annoying side effect - when you open a thread to the first unread, it pops down to the ad first and then jumps back up to the post once the ad loads. Small price to pay to help Kyle, but still annoying.

So when I got home I found out when I cloned my drive to my SSD it disabled my adblock, so that's why I didn't see the white text, and the ads where so unobtrusive I didn't even notice~

Thanks again for all the feedback, I'll leave this stickied for another week then someone needs to remind me to unstick it... no chance I'll actually remember.

Ok, so now random words and phrases are underscored and highlighted. If I hover the mouse over them, I get some link that relates with said word or phrase?

That isn't me! There is a company that keeps bugging me about that "feature" and I keep telling them no.... to me, it's annoying as hell.

So, if that is happening to you, it is most likely something on your computer causing it.... I'd scan for malware ASAP.
