Alex Smith Appreciation Thread

The wide receivers are garbage, the line sucks and yet he still somehow manages to march this pile of crap up and down the field.

AND TO ANYONE WHO THINKS HE IS A PROBLEM - YOU'RE AND IDIOT!

I can't believe people are praising Alex Smith, when this defense held Denver to 24 points.

When you hold Peyton to 24 points, your offense better pull the ****ing trigger.

I'll give him a B for this game... no Charles, garbage calls from Reid... having said that, as the $68 Million Dollar Man, its hard to not lay much of this at his feet.

That may sound like talking out of both sides of my ass, and it IS... but he did a BUNCH right tonight and kept us out of a blowout in the process, but for that money he needs to hit those missed throws.

Had Reid not crapped in his Depends on the fourth and a FOOT though, I bet Alex would've came through for us... he hit some HUGE 3rd and longs tonight, lasered them right on the numbers.
I keep coming back to this. There were so many plays where I said to myself, "that's not a play you'd expect from a $68 million QB."

Smith played well, and so did the OL. 11 out 16 3rd down conversions, 3rd and 8, 3rd and 11, 3rd and 18 etc. all great conversions. If I were a Bronco fan, I'd be fuming right now to see a below average offense with no skill position talents roll on my high touted defense.

He wouldn't have to if the play calling was better. Why wait until 4th down to throw? And what was with all the scrambles to the right on the other drive they didn't score on?
