Against my better judgement i bought WatchDOgs on the steam sale. It was 50 percent off.
At least its only 30 bucks if i hate it. I dont nkow how many time i dropped 60 bucks on games only to play them for a few hours. lol |

I picked up Shovel Knight on the steam sale. Great old school game. Literally. I love that everything is in the realm of the NES. Even the difficulty. Great buy for $10.
Also bonus points for the game recognizing my Dual Shock 4 controller with the button prompts.

Meh. Some things about it are pretty cool but the storyline is so boring and the gameplay is repetitive. The Hacking mini games get exceedingly old. I traded it in after a week.

I only use mine when I play CoD. They're beneficial (to me anyways) bc of the paddles on the back of the controller. The paddles allow you to not take your thumb off the right stick when you need to jump or switch weapons or melee, so you'll always be able to aim and follow your target. I don't really see how they could be beneficial on other games, but I'm sure they could be. It all depends on how you want your paddles programmed. And yes, they can look real ****ing sweet

So far WatchDogs has been ok, so far its worth the 30 i paid for it. Of course there are things that i WTF about like when i crash on the motorcycle my dude somehow does not fly off and cars get hurt more then the motorcycle! lol
I could see why people were turned off by it, but so far, its ok. That could change at anytime, still very early in the game though. I need to get a better video card though. Its kind of struggling. |

i got Watchdogs and BF4 for Xmas.
looking forward to them. Though, i've been out of the FPS mode for a good 2 years now and will take me a while to get into the swing of things. I'll most likely fire it up after I finish Watchdogs.

im just mostly doing the main storyline. I hate side missions for most games. Its just something so they can add up the hours for 100 percent completion. All AAA sandbox games have them.

Speaking of side games...
I don't think I've ever been quite as pissed at a game like I am with Farcry 4. Don't get me wrong.... Beautiful game. Well thought out and enjoyable. However, THE ****ING SIDE MISSIONS! So damned anti-climactic. I absolutely busted my ass to get all these masks from serial murder sites. Nothing ****ing happened. You'd figure something weird and spooky or nerve racking, right? Nope. Here's a weapon unlock or some worthless reward. The fashion week Thing? You go all over the map killing special animals that just kick your ass and you craft gear for this fruity little fashion designer. You literally have to just about beat the game to get it done. Your reward? A note from the guy saying he's left town. The only side missions worth two shits is for the local weapons dealer. He's a crazy mofo. Shitheads. |

Side missions in Borderlands are important because they help level your character. Without them....you're ****ed.
