lol.. well there have been some fantastic platformers this generation - especially in the last few years. Super Meat Boy and Rayman Origins were both A+++

And from the above video, you'd get a overwhelming sense of accomplishment after beating a level like that... especially beating that level on your last life

My knuckles wouldn't survive a game like that. Accomplishments are the least of my worries when platforming.
