Chiefs focused on Mahomes, McCaffrey, and Cunningham in RD1

SEE POST #11 FIRST

... the word in the Chiefs building is that they would like to trade up for QB Patrick Mahomes or RB Christian McCaffrey in the first round. If this falls through, he said they like ILB Zach Cunningham a lot as well.

McCaffrey would be a perfect fit for the Chiefs
Holy shit. The takes...

Big miss but still stand by not drafting rb in the first round

You were right though. There were several RBs available in the 2nd and on that have been just a bit under what McCaffrey has been.

Amazing how draft philosophies have changed and the "business of football" has become so much more...professional.

-In 1978, with the 15th overall pick, the St. Louis Cardinals selected Kicker Steve Little (SM South grad), who failed dismally on and off the field.
-New Orleans, another perennial shit show, failed to learn from the bungling Cardinals, and proceeded to draft Russel Erxlebel with the 11th overall pick. He would save a roster spot by punting and place kicking (part of the time) and never made any impact whatsoever over his 6 years.

As a Chiefs fan in that era , I can attest to the fact that any croney, lackey, or lickspittle golf buddy of the owner could play GM in that era and take turns getting their shit pushed in by serious franchises like Pittsburgh, Dallas, Oakland, and Miami.

I think we got Hunt in the third round that year which was working great until his hotel incident. But now we have a 7th rounder that is working out nicely.

Well, if current trends hold, it will probably look like the "Lingerie Football League"...only with drag queens. The super bowl will be a concert by "Lil' Something" and the drag queens will play at halftime.

I fail to see how that's a problem. Then there's the offense he played in. Well he took snaps from center in practice and played a quick read system. That's...actually what Reid runs.

Why should we be worried about Mahomes again? He has a cannon, is ballsy and his footwork is not a concern. This seems like a no-brainer. He also seems dedicated and focused.
