I've been so lucky. I've never had my car broken into, never been robbed.

Thieves suck.

Hazmat Officer: Yeah. You know what that's called when they do that in there? That's called a soup kitchen. It's pretty rough stuff. Not long after that, a mama raccoon came along and gave birth on the floor.
Gamble: What about fingerprints? You find any fingerprints?
Hazmat Officer: Nope, couldn't get a one.
Investigator: Found a cell phone.
Gamble: Yeah, that's mine.
Hoitz: Any signs of a struggle or spent shells?
Hazmat Officer: No. Believe me, everybody that was in on this orgy was more than willing. In fact, they even left you a note here. "Thanks for the F-shack. Love, Dirty Mike and the boys." Here's something we found. We found about a dozen unscratched lottery tickets. No fingerprints or nothing. Check that out. Yeah, it's a real shame, you know. I got myself a Prius. It's a hell of a machine.
Gamble: It's my first brand-new car. I've never owned a new car.
Hazmat Officer: Watch out. In the back, there's a baby mouse in a used condom. Really gross.

When I was 16, I had left my wallet sitting out on the console of my car while I ran into work to get my paycheck. In the 15 minutes I was inside some idiot broke in, stole my <$100 stereo, and left my wallet sitting there.

Been going on in my neighborhood lately, too.

So, of course, one night last week I forgot to put down the garage door, so they got into my wife's car and stole her purse.
Nothing to expensive was taken, except her keys. SO I had to replace all our locks that evening.

Thieves are scum of the Earth and should have their hands cut off, but why in the world would your wife leave her purse in her car?

I had a set of golf clubs stolen out of my garage a few years ago. The thieves broke into the garage by using a crow bar on the side door. I had to buy and install a new door which cost me $500.00 and I bought a new set of golf clubs which cost me $1200.00. I didn't turn it into the insurance company because I didn't want to go through the hassle and I also didn't want another claim on my insurance. A couple of weeks after purchasing my new golf clubs, I noticed a couple of neighborhood kids playing with golf clubs in their front yard. They looked like my old golf clubs (graphite shafts and white grips) so I walked over to ask them if I could look at the clubs. They dropped the clubs and took off running. I knocked on the door of the house and their father answered the door. I informed him that unless he paid me $1700.00 to cover my expenses, I would be calling the police. I also told him that they could keep the clubs.

I think we feel, right or not, that it should be safe in the garage (if my dumbass remembers to put the door down).
