Hey CP Peeps: Any of you guys in the KC are do Washer/Dryer repair, or have a buddy in the biz.

I have a Maytag washer that's starting to dump water on the floor when it fills. Right now its on a concrete floor with a drain nearby, so it's not causing any damage, but needs to be fixed.

Any of you guys do service work, or know anybody who covers Independence I can call?

And no, we pay in cash, not with Meth. Thanks.

Could be a simple vacuum line worked loose.

Is the drain hose ok? If its fallen down the water will run right on out fast as you can fill the tub. It needs come up above water line roughly then bend down back into the sewer drain.

Drain hose is in a laundry sink right next to the washer. It's still washing clothes, it just leaks (a lot) when its filling up with water.

True. I bought a 15 year old w/d set 15 years ago and they've been easy to fix when they break, which is very rare. Everybody I know who has these things that look like nasa designed them are always having problems.

I think this would be pretty obvious if you lean it over and look underneath it.

There's a vacuum line that triggers the shut off switch when the water reaches the proper fill. It's a small clear hose. They can work loose and it's a simple fix of pushing it back on and a zip tie to clamp it on.
