Once again - NYC struggles with object permanence/logical inference when it hurts us.

YES - it's true you cannot see air between the player's hand and bag. However, a moment later - you CAN see his hand clearly hit the bag and push up. Apparently nothing can be inferred from that collision. IE - the player's hand could be 6" wide from front of palm to back of hand, and very soft so that the impact took a long time to register - like an air bag. WE JUST DON'T KNOW.

People both here and in analytics kill him for his defense. I guess it's not so much about errors as it is defensive runs saved? Seems stupid to me. The analytics don't account for the two things he does best on defense. Tags and scoops on bad throws.
