Just got done watching the game. Great debut by Skoglund. And what a scene when he walked off the mound. Most fun game of this season, I think. Also, Whit Merrifield is 100% awesome

I cannot believe how many people are complaining about Soria. Incredible how shortsighted people are.

I loathe the kittens but even I like Cabrera. Just seems like a good dude, at least from an on the field perspective.

He's a good guy and a model player. Cut from the same cloth as Tory Hunter. That guy was all class. When Moose hit is 1st HR in LA, Hunter went over to the fan and asked for the ball so Moose could have it. Cabrera giving Skoglund a thumbs up is in the same line as that. Wish more players were like him.

My Dad, who lives in Phoenix, was in town last week and did nothing but gripe about Soria every game he was in that we watched. Drove me nuts. I told him 100 times that Soria has been good this year and it's Herrera that has been ass.

Agreed. It's pretty evident when a rival crowd gives you a standing ovation when you achieve a milestone, that you are well liked in the game. I also love when he asks for appeals on his own check swings that have been called balls. Classic.

He has genuinely good-natured fun out there on the diamond with everyone, not just his own teammates. It's easy to like him at times. It'd make it a lot easier to cheer for him if he wasn't a Tiger for so long, though.

Indeed. However, the fact that we won a WS with a bunch of dudes nobody outside of our fan base had heard of prior to 2014, and the Tigers gazillion dollar AS team won't win one, makes it an easier pill to swallow.
